    25 years old = Old?

What is this world coming to when you're fresh out of college and you feel like your time is running out?

We do the same. I do feel that since I turned 21 a few months ago, I've become more focused on school and getting into law school. I have definitly matured over the past year, but to say that I feel like time is running out isn't necessarily true in my case.

Nah not really, although I don't really like getting older.

Also I really don't want to live past 70

                  Interesting topic!

I'm in my late 40's and have nothing looks or lifestyle-wise in common with my peers...

My GF is in her mid-twenties and is waaaay too together to be comfortable in a barful of hers...

My Mom is 80 and has the same tastes in pop culture as my 20 year old female assistant...

My Grandmother is 99 and can answer a Jepordy question here and there, follow Dancing With the Stars, Am Idol and MLB games...

Age ain't nuthin' but a number...

And if you ain't livin', you're dyin'...follow your passions and you'll (hopefully) get older, but you'll never be 'old'...

I think it's the total opposite. The constant strive for eternal youth has only made people stretch the small pocket of youth in life.

30 is no longer old. It's old to people that are 20, but it's not old to people that are 30. There's so much to do in life even at 30. Sure, your body may feel it more, but you can still achieve so much at that age.

It's a good time to be heading into that age group because people in that age group are no longer accepting that old age is around the corner. They've instead found ways to lengthen their youth. Even being 40 is not as old as it used to be.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

                        I'm 41 now.

If the option were ever presented to magically return to age 23, I really don't think I'd do it. I like the place that I am currently in and know that there are better places yet to come.

Now, HOWEVER, if the option presented itself for me to return to 23 AND have the widom I have at 41. No Brainer.

I'm 29 (will be 30 in Sept.) and I feel the same as I did when I was 21. Numbers are just numbers, and right now it beats the alternative.

I never feel like time is running out.

Honestly, if I died tomorrow (knock on wood) I can say that I have lived a full life. I just try hard to make the most of every single waking hour, and I seriously mean that.

This may be a bad outlook on my life, but the ONLY things that I care about in life are my mother and my music. My mother, obviously because she brought me into this world and she's my best friend....but music because I feel the healthiest when I am exercising my brain to make music. I want to make music for the rest of my life. Even if I make a bunch of money making music, or if I continue to get older but sit in my momma's house and make music every day. Those are the only 2 important things to me.

Other things in life like getting an education, getting married etc. are the US expectations. I am getting an education, but I focus more on just learning something new everyday, acquiring new skills and such.

Physically I have changed. That makes me feel old. 30 more lbs and declining athleticism makes me feel old.

But mentally I am coming into my prime and haven't been happier, despite the setbacks in life recently.
