Most of the time people don't realize actually sitting down and talking through their problems works wonders, as half the time you won't realize what you're actually saying. If he wants to voice his opinions here, let him do so. You don't have to come in and read - but hearing about other peoples life issues can do wonders because I guarantee at least one other person on this forum has been through it or thought the same at some point.

But hey... This is America. Let's just perscribe some Prozac and ignore human issues.

Actually a lot of professionals get paid to talk, due to comfortability reasons.

Most of the time people don't realize actually sitting down and talking through their problems works wonders, as half the time you won't realize what you're actually saying. If he wants to voice his opinions here, let him do so. You don't have to come in and read - but hearing about other peoples life issues can do wonders because I guarantee at least one other person on this forum has been through it or thought the same at some point.

Because he gets counseling doesn't mean he'll get prescribed medicine. That's what a psychiatrist will do. If he sees a psychologist he can talk to someone who is clinically certified.

It's not healthy to wish, that someone who you consider a friend, fails in their marriage. Sorry...it's not. Concern for whether or not they'll succeed given they may have rushed into it is one thing. Wanting them to fail because you're tired of hearing about their success, or jealous that they have success is wrong.

I don't know man, I think there are people out there that DON'T resent their friends. I think they just created that Cheesy "Frenemy" for people who want their "friends" to fail.

Its one thing to be upset with your current situation. That should be motivation for you to improve it. But its ridiculous to wish ill will on people you call your friends and wish them to fail. Thats not being a friend. Thats being a jealous B*.
