My friend has a nicer house than mine. I love his house, I'm jealous of it, but it gives me something to strive for. Not once did I wish it to burn to the ground.

My 5 yrs in the Marine Corps made me further appreciate my life, and what I have and have been blessed w/ and all your simple freedoms that most/some take for granted.

So no, I'm nothing like you, and if others say the same they have their reasons.

Maybe ODogg was spoiled as a child, maybe you were too, and no matter how happy your parents tried to make you, you were always jealous/envious of Timmy or Johnny or Susie.

I don't know what to tell you, but I DO KNOW I'd never wish ill-will towards my friend (more or less anyone for that matter) because they were happy or proud of their children and I wasn't happy w/ my life.

I do get bored hearing about somebodies kids I wont lie. I mean a good 3 -5 minute run down about what they are doing is great and I love to hear it, 10 minutes to an hour and it's like ok come on guy. Other than that I'm cool with the family talk.

I'm not really the jealous / envious type. If a friend of mine has something or is doing something I'm really happy for him. I don't wish him or her "knocked down". I DO however have a problem with people who think their better than you. That I can't stand. I'm not rich by any means but my household maintains. And I do have some possessions that may make others envious but I don't flaunt it in their faces. Infact most people are totally surprised when they come through the crib because I've made it comfortable for myself but never brag about it.

Thats exactly it.....I guess if my friend has something that I really like, I try to figure out what I need to do to get it. Work harder, save more, get in shape, whatever it takes.

Wishing that his (insert whatever it is he has) will be destroyed so he can't have it because I don't is just ridiculous. Its selfish, petty, and childish.

Take your pick, except instead of wanting what the friend has, you don't come out and say you want it for yourself. You just don't want your friend to have it so everyone can be miserable.

Suprisingly I would never wish you or Carew get hurt, or have a marriage or something of that significance fail. I do however wish that the Mets go 0-162 every year, but that wish never seems to happen.

So back in High School, a Wrestler from a Christian School beat you up and when you went to the principal, he told you to man up.
