    Men and Umbrellas

Ok is there some sort of man law notification that I didn't get in the mail in regards to men NOT using umbrellas? All around my area, when it is raining (and I mean raining HARD), I see dudes just getting wet like it is cool. Somebody let me know if I missed something LOL

    DO you use them?
    Concrete evidence/videos please

I use them. I wear a suit to work and if a wool suit gets wet it freakin' stinks. Plus I CANNOT STAND to sit around in wet clothes. I absolutely hate it. If somebody wants to make fun of me for carrying an umbrella, so be it.

Now, if I'm not in a suit it doesn't bother me as much, unless I'm wearing jeans and they get soaking wet, then I am not happy. I just can't stand how they stick to my legs and it drives me crazy. T-shirt and shorts, whatever. But not a suit and not jeans. I will umbrella it up all day long if I'm wearing those.

I don't see a need for a man to use an umbrella...if it's raining too hard I wouldn't plan on going for a walk. Park close to your destination.

Real men don't use umbrellas, they have their woman walking next to them holding it over their head.

I can't remember the last time I used an umbrella.

Shouldn't their woman be at home getting dinner ready though?

I have a 4 or 5 minute walk to the building at work from the parking lot, so yeah I use an umbrella. The problem is that I don't check the weather too often and if it is raining at the end of the day, my umbrella is probably still in my car.

I'll hold the umbrella for my wife, but won't use an umbrella on my own.

Only time I would use one, is if I'm wearing a suit.

I don't use it much when it's drizzling, but you better believe I bring out my big wood shaft (that sounds dirty, but that's exactly what it is) when it's pouring out.

I have 1 in my car and a spare at work. I check the weather first thing in the morning and if it looks like it's gonna rain I bring it on the subway. I have a 5 minute walk to work from my stop and sitting around wet in a suit is a terrible feeling.

So if it is POURING down and you are alone in jeans and a polo you WON'T use one?

I honestly was expecting that to be what this thread was about.
