It's ridiculous. 0-128 in a little less than 4 seconds.

I prefer Top Thrill Dragster (same ride, just 30 feet shorter and 8 MPH slower) over it simply because of the view. Cedar Point is out in the middle of Lake Erie, so when you are at the top you see nothing but the park and seemingly endless water.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

I'm hoping to make a trip somewhere before the summer's over, but I have no money. I was thinking of going to Six Flags New England and Lake Compounce, because Boulder Dash at LC is considered one of the best wooden coasters in the world and Superman/Bizarro is considered one of the best steel coasters in the world. Plus I'm what people call a "credit whore", which is basically a person who rides any and every roller coaster regardless of how big it is or how good it is (I'm at 67 now).

WOW, more power to you, i get so nervous before the rides. In the line for the Bizzaro i felt as if i was going to die. As soon as i got in the cart and it started to go up, i had to close my eyes and pretend to be someone clam and quiet, but the constant noise and chatting in the head rest didn't allow me to do so.

However after that, half way through the first drop, i came to my sense and enjoyed the ride. Even did it a second time. It's crazy how older as well as younger folks eat up these rides. Seeing a little 9 year old girl all cheering ready for the ride makes me feel sad that i feel like i'm going to have a heart attack.

Side note: The chatting and effects in the head rest do a great deal to make the ride feel immersive. Since the whole plot of the coaster is that Bizzaro is attacking while Superman is away. So you hear jet pilots and helicopters as if they're trying to fight Bizzaro, then when you get to the very top before the drop, they all say GAME OVER

I went to Six Flags Great America last Thursday. It was a blast. I went on Superman for the first time. Front row. Amazing.

I'm making my third trip of the summer there on Thursday.

            I love Six Flags.

IMO, though, Raging Bull and Batman (and possibly V2) are all better than Superman. Superman is fun, but it's too short for the amount of time you have to wait in line.

I've been on Great Adventure's incarnation of Superman: Ultimate Flight (which is the exact same thing), and I sort of agree with you. After the drop and pretzel loop, which is insanely intense, the ride just kinda meanders around until it hits the brakes. It was my first flying coaster so I thought it was pretty fun, definitely better than a lot of other rides I've been on.

I've been dying to hit up a park recently, but I don't have the cash. I'd like to head out to Dorney Park since it's fairly close and I haven't been there in awhile...if only I could land a job.

SF Over Texas has everyone pays kids price right now. Which is $31 dropped from $50

                  Six Flags is a blast...

Also love that everyone enjoying their time there is secretly supporting Dan Snyder and paying Albert Haynesworth's contract! Love it!

Emperor Snyder bought six flags...what 2-3 years ago?

Yeah, I mean, it's unique and all, but the novelty wears off fairly quickly.

Bizarro/previously Superman Ride of Steel is widely regarded as the best rollercoaster in the world. Enjoy!

Yeah, Six Flags Fiesta Texas is an awesome little park. I went there and was able to ride their main coaster, Superman Krypton Coaster, 8 times in a row without even getting off.

There were so few people there I would sit there after the ride ended, watch as the harness opened up and then closed back down on me, and then took off for another ride.

Awesome scenery too with the whole park being carved into a cliff thing.

Always a place I wanted to hit up, and S:KC is one of the coasters I've been dying to ride for awhile. Now that they added Goliath it gives one more reason to go.

It's a shame that Rattler, by many accounts, sucks though.

Man it was HOT yesterday. Not very many people, only time we had to wait 10 minutes was when we decided to ride in front where the line is always longer. Rode The Titan 5 times in a row and got to ride every single ride within 5 hours.

I've been to Cedar Point twice in the last 4 years.

Millenium Force is the best coaster there... bar none. It's got everything... height, speed, length, angles... great coaster.

Top Thrill Dragster is pretty awesome though. It's just kind of simple... up, then down... but it is amazing how fast it goes and how high up.

haha, yeah Rattler is awful. I heard about how rough/bad it was, and I figured why not go all out? I sat in the very last row, above the wheels.

BRUTAL. I intended to try the front too, but didn't have the courage after that beatdown. Worse though, is it's just boring. The giant rattlesnake helix thing is just a minute of waiting around.

It is a shame though... such a huge structure, so cool looking how it's built in the park, but it sucks. It's worth a ride though, just for the "this is the roughest coaster I've ever been on" factor.

S:KC is definitely awesome though. Just pure fun. I have ridden quite a few coasters (been to Cedar Point, SFOT, SFFT, etc.) and there is just something about it that makes it way toward the top of my favorites list.
