pfunk was a nickname given to me in the 5th grade, and I've used it in all of my handles ever since.

88 was my birth year, and since pfunk88 was already taken when I went to sign up for AIM, I just added a zero on the end.

back when Age of Empires came out (1997), i went to play it online and needed a username. I tried various different names and they were pretty much all taken. the site(i believe it was zone.com then not sure if it still exist) had a random name generator, i used that and the first choice was Solid Ice. put them together to form Solidice(still pronounced Solid Ice) and been using it for pretty much every game and/or forum since.

Back before the era of Xbox Live, there was a local store that had a ton of game systems hooked up for play, the biggest games being Halo and Halo 2.

My friend and I frequented that place one summer, and one day he said that I should make my username "elTodd" (Spanish for, "The Todd" ). I did, and have been using it for almost everything ever since.

Well my user name is simple. I like the Chicago White Sox. My avatar is the logo for the Chicago Blackhawks. I was too lazy to change it after their playoff run.

I was looking at a shadow, and the object it was a shadow of was silver. There is silver_shadow. Now, me being foolish, I followed that stupid idea to add my age to the end. I was 14 at the time (15 now), and I am stuck with it now.

In my youth, I bounced clubs/bars and such.

So one night while "relocating" a drunken gentleman from the strip club to a parking lot location more suited for his wanton actions, the guy tried to get physical and I hammerlocked him and snatched him by his neck.

Somewhere between the interior door and exterior door he "wet" himself because as he claimed I squeezed his neck to hard. So I toss him out careful not to touch the wet spots. A couple other bouncer at the doors are laughing which enrages the man further.

He starts scream that I'm a DEAD DUCK. Over and over, at one point wandering away then returning to remind me I'm a DEAD DUCK. I wasn't here for this part but cops rolled in and snatched him and my bouncer buddies swore as they drove off he had his face pressed agianst the glass and screamed DEAD DUCK.

The joke and the name stuck around.

Jake=Golden Retrievers name. He has since passed but was the best damn dog in the history of the world. I know is sounds weird but the dog helped me threw the most difficult time of my life, he truly was mans best friend. RIP Jake!
