Amazing thread. She's definitely crazy. And there are ALWAYS jobs for hot chicks. I have personally never heard of an attractive girl who couldn't find a job as secretary, bartender, or something somewhere.

This is one of the worst advice I've seen in this thread so far. It's not even about the xBox or the $300 at this point. Just think about this for a minute. You two are not even married. It should be common knowledge that women are on their best behavior before you slip on that wedding ring. This is only a small foreshadowing of what will happen if you guys continue in this relationship.

I'm a married man and my wife understands that I play video games. I dated my share of women and when I ran across one that prevented me from doing the things I liked I knew it wasn't going to work in the long run so I cut ties. I'm a firm believer that if a relationship is going to work you must be able to live without feeling like you are compromising too much. Once you start feeling this way you are going to start resenting the other person.

None of us was around to figure out whether you playing too much video games and neglecting her. Besides, this kind of thing is subjective anyway. Some women are really jealous of your time and don't even want you to look at a console. If the OP is going to call his GF names because she wants him to not play the video games, that's the first sign of trouble. The straw broke the camel's back when she burnt his system. No matter what you do this relationship is doomed to fail. Both parties need to be understanding of the other's needs and wants. You don't want to live a miserable life. Luckily for me I've found someone who understands my needs and wants.

OP, cut ties and move on. Don't even worry about the $300. You'll never get it back. Only try to get it back if you like headache and drama.
