Exactly. This is hilarious, though. And these macho "sue that %*$#!" responses are even more amusing. I'm sorry she ruined your gaming system, that really isn't cool. Have the two of you had an adult conversation yet? Have you maybe tried counseling if this kind of behavior is semi-regular? Have you apologized for blowing her off when she wanted to spend time with you? Anyway, I hope you find a good solution that works for you both and can get your system working before '10 comes out.

What makes you think that a woman taking something like that and burning it would not lead into even worse scenarios than that? The problem is that most people miss the 1st signs of ******ation and split personalities.

OMG this is the best thread ever.......

Here's what I did, had this girlfriend for a year, got sick of her not working and spending all my $$ and on top of it flirting with my friends. Told her to pack up and leave, she wouldn't.
You can only be Mr Nice Guy for so long, when she was out I took the biggest knife in the house and wrote a "Get the F out of my House" note and stuck it in the front door, and left for work. I haven't seen her since. I did hear that it scared the heck out of her, she probably thinks to this day I'm a killer.

Dude move on there's hundreds of hot, crazy, and lazy women in this world, you'll find another one.

Seriously, if she needs somewhere to go, tell her you'll call the cops for the property damage & the trespassing. She'll find somewhere else to sleep rather than probably ending up torching your house or something on a bender after some other ridiculous concoction is ingested.

I had a girl that went to college about 20 miles away from I live and work. We got into a shouting match one night over a dog that she bought and decided she would leave at my house because she couldn't have pets in her dorm room. I sit the puppy out on my front porch and went inside. Came out the next morning and there were keys marks all down my brand new Tahoe (1st brand new car ever). You wanna know where she's at now?

I have no clue because I:

1. called the police...she had to pay to have the scratches buffed out and touched up

2. promptly told her to stay the **** away

I don't understand your dilemna. How many hot chicks are running around out there who are unemployed, manic druggies who drink everclear and epsom salt and THEN barbecue expensive ****. Not buying it. She can't be attractive enough for all this to be worth putting up with.

If it were me, I'd call animal control and tell them there's a crazy **** on my front porch and its foaming at the mouth....please remove.

Keep the note as evidence. What she wanted to do was hurt you in the worse way she thought she could. If you take her back then you are a punk. Take it from me who was married for four years to a total b---h! She did all types of crap to me and I took it because she was "pretty". Don't go that route. Now I am happily married to a real woman who doesn't mind me playing my videos games. So in a nutshell...

Let her go.
Sue her for the damage to the Xbox.
Forget she existed.

I don't know how to react to this thread or the original poster, but I'll try.

1. No one should ever destroy your property. What she did was wrong and you are in the right to ask for her to pay back for damages. If you are seriously done with her, I would recommend small claims court if you want her to pay for it. Otherwise, just let her go and move on.

2. How often do you play video games when she wants to talk? I don't know enough of her mental history or your video game playing habits to really say much beyond that. You either play too much and she got tired of it or something is seriously wrong with her.

Either way, see number 1. No one should destroy your property. That being said...

3. No one should insult another person over an argument. You made mistakes here too. You value your property, perhaps she values her dignity. Sounds far-fetched? How can anyone really know unless you're them. Different people value different things and perhaps the things you said seriously hurt her feelings the way burning your 360 hurt yours - it's quite possible that her feelings are more hurt than yours right now.

4. You need to evaluate this entire relationship. If she's mixing drugs, causing damage to property, and not making an effort to find a real job (there are jobs out there. Yes, there is a recession, but there are jobs for people that are willing to work crap jobs. I hate it when people say there is nothing out there. Stop being lazy and work a crap job if you need money so badly, people), then she may not be ready for a real relationship; she might not be meeting your needs as a person. With that said, are you meeting her needs? Seriously consider this. Maybe she needs someone that is willing to spend a lot more time than you are willing to give. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up video games. It probably just means you two are incompatible.

I don't know how much she's done over the months (years?), so only you know how much more you can deal with but if this has been going on for a while then move on. The grilling of an XBOX is one thing to us, it may be the tenth thing she's damaged of yours - I don't know. Otherwise, if you seriously care about her enough to not call the police and not call for legal advice, maybe you should step outside and have a real talk with her: discuss your feelings, how you feel that she damaged your property, and make sure you listen to her thoughts as well. You may find that after a talk she might feel guilty enough to pay back for the system without your asking. But, a relationship is like a sport. You can't play on offense or defense all day long. You need to share the rock and take turns.

I'm not sure I understand the problem?

Really, I don't. His hobby is probably video games and he probably really wants to play NCAA. He already said he doesn't have the money to buy a new system, so he came here to see if there was a way to repair a damaged 360. Some people will try all options (even if none exist) to save some cash or get what they want.

I see this being no different than guys that go after girls, or people who take certain actions to get the things they want.
