    The Food and Beverage Thread

Anything and everything involving food and beverages.

My current dinner obsession is turkey wraps. We've got a foreman grill here at my apartment so I cook a lot of sandwich items.

    Foreman Grill Turkey Wrap
    -1 large flour tortilla
-deli sliced turkey(don't get the pre-packaged stuff, its not nearly as good); I usually get the peppered turkey breast
-ranch dressing(fat-free or at the very least, lite)
    -sliced cheddar

Directions: Heat up the tortilla over the stove until its warm. Then pour some dressing in the center and thinly spread it out like its a pizza. Add the turkey like you would add cheese on a pizza. Then cut the cheddar in half and put it long ways in the center of the wrap. Then fold 2 sides in and fold the other 2 sides afterwards. I usually leave it on the foreman grill for about 5 minutes.

As far as beverages for the night, I got a 4 pack of Sam Adams Imperial White. I dread all of my friends asking if they can try it.

I'm on a Cheerwine and Cherry Pepsi/Cherry Coke kick right now. Especially if they are ice cold, almost ready to be frozen, just a little ice in the bottle. Mmmm, damn.

Over the last month or so, Grilled Tilapia has been what I been fixated on. On a flour tortilla with a nice spicy salsa.

To go along with it has been a refreshing Pacifico cerveza.

                Mountain Dew
                Milk

That's about it besides the occassional Sprite, Orange Juice, or Pepsi One.

Sprite mixed with OJ? Well...since you're an Indians fan like me, I'll take your word for it.

My Sam Adams was good. Definitely buying it again. The Titan IPA's I had after it...not so much.

Anyone here eat yogurt on a daily basis? The commercials piqued my interest and I tried Yoplait's Boston Cream Pie flavor...and I must say, its really good.

I'm salivating over the dinner I'm cooking tonight already...teriyaki bay scallops, olive oil and balsamic zucchini (fresh from my wife's garden), and then for dessert a brown sugar rum glazed pineapple over vanilla ice cream, with everything being prepared on the grill.

I even have a bottle of Chimay Rouge to savor during prep and cooking, which is a brew that I enjoy but rarely purchase.

Lately it has been skirt steak marinated in teriyaki with sesame seeds and grilled. The other is chicken cutlet rolled up with provolone, prosciutto, roasted red pepper, fresh basil, drizzled with olive oil and grilled.

As far as beverages, I have been drinking a lot of Blue Moons lately.

I never realized until last night that Tilipia was a freshwater fish, always thought it was a salty.

Had an epic dinner/cooking party at a friend's house last night. Here was the menu (I bought the sausage/sticky rice, pho/condiments, and the tarte/ice cream):

Lao Sausage and Sticky Rice w/dipping sauce
                              Pho w/craploads of condiments
Seared tuna, watermelon, and ginger skewers
                              Lemongrass chicken skewers
Stir-fried vegetables (cabbage, snow peas, carrots, etc.)
Coconut pudding w/fresh fruit and rosewater
Apple tarte tatin w/homemade cinnamon-coffee ice cream

We were totally stuffed and still eating ice cream at like 11:00 haha... good times.
