--Basketball
If i would have not got kicked off my high school basketball team my freshman year I could have played division 1 college basketball.
The coach hated me and I hated his style of play. He ran a flex offense and had our Center and Forwards handling the ball at the elbow instead of down low. But I had a major attitude problem and smoked too much weed and only watched the NBA which is different than small Ohio basketball.
I didn't lift weights or work that hard on physique until I was 18. But I played in our Ohio CYO league. My Junior year I averaged 25+ a game, my senior year my team went to state only lost two games during the year when I was in the hospital with pneumonia (caused by smoking too much of everything and not sleeping because I was strung out).
When I was 21 I played a lot of ball at Wright State University and I have no doubt if I would have played high school ball I could have played division 1 ball. I was tall enough 6'2, had enough athleticism 36+ vertical, very good court awareness, only problem was my constant lack of stamina (a major difference at the college level) and my handle would had to have gotten a lot better to deal with the defense at the college level.
I got regret about this every day of my life.
--Football
I wasn't fast and that is what I would have needed. Fastest I ran a 40 was 4.9 and as a 6'2 170 lb Wide Receiver I wouldn't have gone anywhere without more speed. I did have an insane knack for coming up with jump balls. My sophmore year I had a catch on varsity for 41 yards on a jump ball. The only catch of my high school career. I was hurt my junior year (drinking and drug use didn't help) and senior year we had a coaching change again and I didn't go out after knowing I didn't work at all in the offseason.
--Music
If there was any music in my house growing up I might have learned the little things sooner than I did.
If I had a little more background I would have made it as a traveling musician.
