Yeah, and I'm always leery of reading too much into things from people who are supposed to be nice due to their job. Waitresses, baristas, bartenders, etc. are expected to chat up customers and be nice to them. Could have been looking for a tip also.

Yeah. My girlfriend is a barista at StarBucks, used to be a waitress at Olive Garden. She's great with customers, always great reviews, but she always has the creeper stories to tell me. It seems a lot of guys mistake her friendliness for flirting. Nah, she's all mine.

Guys in general mistake girls being nice to them for trying to get with them. I can't tell you how many times some of my friends say how much a girl wants their **** and I just have to say, "No. You are wrong."

Yep. My good friend who was a groomsman in my wedding was telling me how one of the bridesmaids in the wedding was flirting with him during the reception. He said that if he wasn't engaged, he's pretty sure he could have been with her. I had to tell him that she was WAY out of his league and that's just the way she is...bubbly and sweet to everyone. Some guys just have no idea.

True, but I do believe girls know very early on if they want to give you a shot. That's your time to shine or head to the locker room. Very rarely do you get a second chance to make a first impression...as the saying goes.

Absolutely. I had a very good female friend tell me once that a woman knows within the first 5 minutes of meeting a guy, if they would get with them or not. And once the decision is made, it's made.

My sophomore year in HS, our Science class took a field trip to Six Flags here in Largo and this one chick in my class is kinda flirting with me. She's playing the basketball games where if you make a shot, you win a prize and she was asking me each time(3 BTW)if I could shoot for her. I did(mainly because im a nice guy and didnt mind helping her out to win some prizes)and as we're walking to one of the rides, she asks me:

"If I let you hit, would you go out with me?"

Me, not knowing any better utter out the words "maybe" to her. She goes back and tells my friends(who I known for a long time and grew up together)what I said and they start letting me have it. "Nick, did you REALLY tell her maybe?" sounding shocked and surprised at it. I told them I thought they sent her over to ask me that and thats why I said "maybe" when I come to find out, she asked on her own.

That following Monday, she comes up to me and asks for my number, which I went and gave to her, and we started slowly talking to each other after that. Well one day, I came home from school and with no homework I cooked me a hamburger and pop in the movie "What The Worse That Could Happen?"(which I had seen 4 times then) and I hear a knock at my door and it's her. She asks me what I was doing and I told her I was eating and watching a movie. She then asks if she could come in(nobody was home but me)and I told her to comeback later or ill call her once the movie is over. Come to find out, she didn't drive over here(lived in another part of town 15 mins away)and specifically came over to "see me" so when after I told her that, I see my friends coming up the street and they ask her what she was doing around here. She tells them what and they just start giving me all types of hell, in a joking type way.

"Nick, this is twice now that you turned her down and when she was throwing you the signs man. You scared of *****??"

She was fine BTW too. She was a shorter version of Gabrielle Union(movie actress)and she wanted the goofiest one in the crew(me)and I turned down all the signs, SMH.

My friends still get on me about that whenever we start reminiscing about our HS days but nowadays you can't help but laugh with them on it lol.

So many of these posts are great for us youngbloods that can learn from these experiences. Its like a Rookie QB sitting on the bench learning from the veteran QB. I've had my own experiences but some of these blow away the dumb moves I've made.

LOL I mean hell, I'm not the quickest to catch hints mostly because I tend to assume "Why would she want to get with me?" but even I would know that those are the signs to strap up for smashing.

Pack, please share more. That first story was classic so I'm curious to see what other ones you got.

I'm loving all of these stories because they help me in the future and for comedic purposes.

I read this thread whenever I need a good laugh. I do agree with that most guys take a girl being nice as wanting them. This thread is gold!
