Remember when we were young and we all had dreams of what we wanted to be. Man, back then it seemed so simple. I think its safe to say that the majority of us are not doing what we envisioned ourselves doing when we were little rascals.
For example, I swore from about the 3rd grade till about the 8th grade that I was going to be a doctor. I was determined and couldn't nobody tell me nothing, lol. I think by the time I got to high school, I realized that just wasn't going to happen. Not that I wasn't smart enough for it, but it just wasn't for me. But... I probably wasn't smart enough for it, lol.
Now I'm 24 and a supervisor at a mental health agency. I would have laughed if someone told me ten years ago that this is what I would be doing. But I guess reality just catches up with ya eventually. Oh, and for the record, I really enjoy my job.
So, what did you guys (or gals) wanna be growing up? How far off are you from what you wanted to be? Anybody end up doing what they always wanted to do from day 1?
