Yea, all I got was a court date.
Then on Monday we went to a website for the place and there was a post from a police officer talking about catching us. The post afterward really frustrated me, apparently all we needed to do was hide in a room not to get caught.

Re: Devils night
Now thats creepyPersonally I think they are all around us in some form or another. At least once a night, My dog will growl or bark at the front door, then growl or bark all the way to the back of the house in a straight line from the front door. Then she will bark at the back window opposite of the door.
Is it a ghost, maybe, is my dog stupid, perhaps. Who knows.

Re: Devils night
Well let me see. I see we got a couple that don't believe in ghosts. Let me explain what happened to me for years in our old house. Nothing I am about to say, would I lie about. Before moving here, I never believed in ghosts are really even thought about it often or not. After living in this house for around 5 years. I am 150% positive there is something after here.
My parents bought a house when I was a freshman in highschool. It was a decent home, nothing real special. 3 bed 2 bath and a big privacy fence around it.
It started where I would wake up in the morning for school and my damn blinds would always be open. The light would blind the crap out of me and I would always re-twist the rod to close them. But every couple mornings I would wake up to them open again. So I asked my mom about it and she said it was not her. She said "Maybe the cat in getting on the window sill". But I never bought it because I always closed and locked my door. That was just the start and it was always little things.
This was the incident that made me believe something strange was going on.
Then me and my sister were home at night while my parents were at our business. It was storming like a mofo, lighting thunder and pouring rain. We had a big bay window in the front near the TV, which was about 10 feet or so from the recliners we were sitting in. About 10pm, someone banged twice hard on the front bay window. BOOM BOOM. So it freaked me out. I jumped up and ran to the window. Which like I said was about 10 feet so i got there is no time. I sling the curtain open and nothing was in the front yard. Then in the time it took me to run to the window look, out of no where. The same BOOM BOOM bang on the back window in the back yard. Now the issue I have with this is like I said we had a 10 foot privacy fence. There is no humanly possible way to get around the house that fast and jump that fence. Unless it was more than one person. Then I got serious and I told my sister to watch in the back yard to see if she saw them. I ran and grabbed my shotgun, threw 3 shells in. As I was walking to the front of the house the bottom metal they have on a screen door. They nailed that sounded like they kicked the **** out of it. This was underneath the car port. Which was not a garage with doors but just a open car port. I ran out the front door shot gun in hand. I walked the front and back looking for who ever was doing this. I could not find anyone so I walked across the street to my buddies house think he was screwing with me. He answered in his tighty whities. He said it was not him but took it serious and threw some pants on and we walked through the pouring rain to my house. As I am walking and telling him what happened we are walking up on the car port and he says.
"If they hit on the bottom on the screen door, why are there no wet foot prints. There would be some if they came under here"
I was like "You are right, what the hell is going on"
Ok well we never to this day figured out what happened. But it continue to get worse. I then moved out about a year after that incident.
My mom and step dad started having big issues with things happening also. We raised mastiffs so we had 2 big mastiffs as inside guard dogs. Well my mom called me and said "remember how you use to say some weird **** kept happening here. I think you are right." So I asked her what happened. She said "I was falling asleep in the recliner and just as I was going out. Ben (the mastiff) jumped up and went ape **** barking, so I quickly looked toward the kitchen and the wooden kitchen door slung open and the screen door closed. I thought someone was trying to get in the house and Ben scared them. I ran to the door and I did not see anyone or any cars or anything"
Well I told her just to be careful. It was not but 4 or 5 months later. I get a call and she tells me this.
"Derek, You know Scott (my step dad) does not believe in ghost. Well we had something happened last night that changed that. Scott woke up at 4am and every window and door in the house was wide open (we had front door, car port door, 2 french doors back yard). He comes wakes me up and asks me what the hell is going on and why I got every window open. I told him I did not do anything. Well this morning we sat down and talked about it and he seems to think it might be his dad (his dad died in his 30s)"
About 6 months later or so. They bought a new house and moved. I have not in my life seen or been apart of anything else that has made me think "Ghost are real".
But I swear on my life, living there and having my whole family go through it. I am a firm firm believer now. Hell it made my skeptic step dad a firm believer as well.

Re: Devils night
No, I moved out and thought about it here and there. But once my mom and them moved I never really thought about it much. Me and my step dad talked about it after they were moving and he seems to have it in his head that it was his dad. I have no clue, but I went through it, My sister, my mom, my step dad, and even our dogs lol
The fact was it was not something that happened every night or every month. It would go 6 months or more and then something would happen.
I was never scared to stay there or anything. I just knew something not normal was going on. We moved from when I was younger. Into 5 different houses. So I was never concerned with moving into a new house. The place was a nice little house. Nothing spooky about it. But it did have some jacked up stuff happen that will stay with me for life.
I will never forget how loud the slam on the glass was. Then me searching the yard in the pouring rain late at night soaking wet with a shotgun in hand. Only to see ZERO foot prints mins after it happening.
It was weird to say the least. Reading back my post, it seems weird but nothing scary. But I can honestly say experiencing it is a totally different story. It went down really fast and was really intense. I don't think I will ever forget that night.Last edited by Phobia; 11-02-2009, 01:49 PM.Comment

Re: Devils night
Seems like Louisiana is a hot bed for paranormal activity. My Aunt, Uncle, and cousins used to live in Baton Rouge, and they have some stories too.No, I moved out and thought about it here and there. This part sounded like something you would see in a movie lol.

Re: Devils night
The older an area is, the bigger chance their will be a haunting. My buddies house here in Syracuse is very old, it actually used to be a stop on the underground railroad, and his mom swears it is haunted. A few spooky things have happened while I was there like pots and pans falling out of the cupboard onto the floor or hearing footsteps walking upstairs during the middle of the night. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Devils night
Yea I know when I was younger in school they had that book. "Ghost Along the Tech". Tech being the bayou. They have all kinds of different haunted spots in that book. A bridge in sunset(city) that was a civil war battle area has a women that has haunted the bridge. A house in New Iberia called the shadows is also a famous haunted plantation. The Myrtles is another place. Just a whole host of spots.
Shadows - I have been in here couple of times. Really cool place
Shadows-on-the-Teche, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a historic house museum located in the heart of downtown New Iberia. The Shadows tells the story of those who lived and worked on the Weeks family plantations. Visitors explore the full history of enslaved life, labor,
The Myrtles - Never have been but we almost went sleep there this Halloween but backed out because we got a wedding coming up and a bunch of girls are going to be getting ready at my house so i need to get the remodeling finished.
Blue n Gold. I did a search and found nothing. But one thing I can say for sure that might have something to do with it. But since we have no scientific proof on any of this I don't know. But there is a old folks home right next door. Maybe that could be the reasoning???Last edited by Phobia; 11-02-2009, 03:06 PM.Comment

As spirts and what not can haunt homes , grounds or people ect .
In some cultures of the paranormal open items can be the sign of a lost soul trying to find their way to the next life but many are doomed to walk in limbo from a unfinished life did your step dad and his father have a falling out , hard feelings unresolved ?Last edited by dorismary; 11-02-2009, 03:58 PM.Comment
