I actually appreciate the way in which New England has built their team. Bellicheat and Patriot-gate aside, they've been the epitome of well-run franchises. They've taken on players (Moss/Dillon) when no one else wanted to, and have put team above everything else (malcontent Seymour being traded, among others let go).

If you're a Bengals fan how can you not want that same model of consistency for your own franchise?

No I completely agree the Patriots are an excellent run franchise. I didn't say I hate them the most, but they are the most hated team in the NFL.

Yankees, easily. Cowboys would probably be next. I don't think the Lakers come anywhere close to either of those.

Difference between being the most hated team in the NFL and having the most hated man in the NFL on your team.

Obviously it's the Yankees, people always hate the best/most successful and that's the Yankees by a wide margin. The Yanks have basically won 25% of all World Series titles. Insane.

I can hate them for whatever reason I want....everyone plays by the same rules, but they still have one hell of an unfair advantage. The way I see it, their organization is strong because of finances instead of internal personel and I appreciate it the other way around much, much more. If the A's were in NY and were privvy to the same privleges the Yankee's have, I'm obviously not going to complain, but hey, it's not, so I am.

It's like to do you appreciate the story of a kid, who was born to rich parents, skated his way through college, was handed his parent forturne, his fathers company and instantly becomes an extremely wealthy man...or do you appreciate the story of a kid who came from nothing, worked his tail off and did his homework and put in his time to reach the same level of wealth?

IMO, the Yanks just don't have to work as nearly as hard to win as other teams do. They don't have to be skilled in any other way than opening their wallets and signing talent that other teams have groomed, but can't afford to keep. I'm not saying their not skilled in other areas, but they don't need to be. If Jeter retired today, they'd just go out and get the best SS available on the market.

Look, I'm not saying my reasons are right, but they are my reasons. Since the Yankee's won the WS in 2000, I have felt joy for every team that has won the WS. I've watched their celebrations and felt happy for their franchises and it made me happy as a baseball fan. When the Yankee's win, I don't feel that. I feel the opposite. I feel like every other team had to work for it and they just bought it. I understand it's not 100% true, but I definitely do believe there is truth to it.

There is definitely truth to that. The teams that are hated the most are usually the or some of the most sucessful. Whether it's perceived arrogance from the winners or jealousy from the losers, it exists.

If they ever become a powerhouse again i'd say Notre Dame Football would be right behind them maybe 1 and 1A.

For me, it's to close to call between Yankees and Patriots though the Patriots may have a slight edge. I strongly dislike the Cowboys and Lakers and am more or less indifferent towards Duke and the Celtics.

Personally, University of Wash is #1 followed by the Yanks, Duke, and Notre Dame.
