And why did he accept orders to Ft. Hood from Walter Reed? Why not just deny orders? That would speed up the process of him getting out.

A lot of this just doesn't make much sense.

I agree brother. It was reported he had physical confrontations with other officers about his disagreement with deploying. If that's the case he should have his card pulled then. This makes no sense.

Thanks brother. I literally just hung up the phone with one of my nephews. They are both fine. They were on lockdown so no calls were coming in or out. They were both at the scene of the shootings and are extremely pissed off. They lost their squad leader and an Officer they were pretty fond of. Unreal man. Great start to their 3rd tour. I'm at a loss.

im sorry about that man. my best friend is on fort hood right now and thankfully he wasent anywhere near it but thankfully your nephews are okay and i wish them luck overseas.

That's friggin blows. You try to mentally prepare yourself for losing your brothers-in-arms in combat against the enemy and then this kind of **** happens.

Quick update. My nephews Squad Leader is alive but in critical condition. They have to this point lost an Officer in the shooting.

The more I hear about the shooter,the more confused I get. How in the hell he was still in the Army. His sister says he was trying to get out since 9/11. I'm baffled.

I could have swore I just heard on te local news (broke in with a press conference) that the shooter is NOT dead and still alive. Maybe I misheard.

I would imagine it would be very hard to leave the army if they paid for your med school.

It could also be because he is in a needed field (that might not see a lot of applicants) with psychiatry. I don't really know, just spitballing ideas.

I just got off the Phone with a very good friend who responded to the scene, He was telling me that the Death toll would be much higher if this had occured somewhere else. Those who got shot and did not die within the first few moments had their lives saved my fellow soldiers. Its a good thing the Army Teaches everyone how to treat combat wounds like these.

There are alot of heros in Fort Hood right now.
