This guy is going to be the Biggest black eye the Army has ever had since Benedict Arnold. My problem is the Army is too busy investigating soldiers for petty Crap when we have people like this among our ranks, all the while this guy was attending the same Mosque that the 9/11 hijackers attended. I think we all know who poses the biggest Risk to the Military.

I would also wager that terrorist Organizations and Foreign Governments have infiltrated the ranks of the Military, to learn how we react in Combat and what our procedures our.

Ruffy...please don't. The "truth" doesn't hurt, people who are trying to correct my feelings, or shaking their head at me for how I feel when something like this happens, as if I'm wrong, pisses me off. So please....don't.

It wasn't the military that dropped the ball. It was the CIA and other intelligence agencies. I'm sure if they had the info talked about in this report,he would have been flagged quickly.

Remember when the last Iraqi war began some Muslim dude ran around a camp and rolled grenades into other soldiers tents? He was a Sergeant too.
          Here it is. Remember this?

An American soldier has died in a grenade attack carried out by another US serviceman at a military camp in Kuwait.Fifteen troops were also injured when the soldier, named as Sergeant Asan Akbar, lobbed three grenades into tents housing commanding officers from the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Pennsylvania.

Yes I do. Unfortunately, the isn't the first time that something along these lines has happened.

I served under Retired Col Allen West in Iraq. He has some very strong feelings about this subject. He thinks Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's attack may indicate a broader effort by Islamic extremists to recruit downtrodden members of the military.

"This enemy preys on downtrodden soldiers and teaches them extremism will lift them up," West said in a statement. "Our soldiers are being brainwashed."

The release added that West claims "the horrible tragedy at Fort Hood is proof the enemy is infiltrating our military."

West called on the military to create ways "to prevent Islamic extremism from penetrating our bases."

West said "it is imperative that we take steps to make sure this does not happen again" and that it is important to "objectively assess this situation."

I also wonder if this story would be getting more press if it had occurred at a shopping mall? It seems like it's losing legs way quicker than it should.

At least it's still getting press. You had another idiot go on a shooting spree in Orlando and I don't see a thread about it here or am I hearing much about it anywhere. I guess since they didn't have videotape of the guy in Muslim garb it isn't a story.

Anyway, the shooter is awake,so hopefully they get some answers out of this guy.

I can't believe someone would make this type of comment.

But anyways, in response, there is the fact that he wasn't a "US soldier" who shot up "commrades" on a military base. He also wasn't a terrorist as this guy is. The guy in Orlando was a disgruntled ex-employee. Unless you're trying to state that this "terrorist" was a disgruntled employee of the US Army.

A couple of people really want to take this thread down the wrong path. That isn't going to happen. Closed.
