I'm trying to lose 20lbs in 20 days. Is this even possible?

Rigorous cardio with diet? I've gained 30lbs in a month and a half and I feel awful. I want to knock off 20 before Christmas.

What are some of your quick weight loss tricks?

I do know that if you split your eating into five meals a day (healthy meals), that that alone can help you lose weight, which is weird because you wouldn't think eating would make you lose weight.

The other thing I'd do if I were you, is rigorous cardio, like you said.

If you do those two things, I think you'll lose some weight before Christmas, but 20 pounds in 20 days may be kinda rough.

From what I hear, circuit training with some cardio(1 minute jj's or jumping rope) will burn more calories vs straight cardio workouts.

        You can definitely do it.

For a contest at work......I dropped 50 pounds in 60 days.
        From 275 to 225....
Weighed in on January 10th.....(didn't do much for about a week...then went all hunger strike).....on Patty's day I was 225.
Won the contest and picked back up 25 of those pounds(it was 4 or 5 years ago..I do need to lose at least 15 again...but not that way)

        No cardio...no workout...just diet.
You don't want to know what I ate for 2 months....you'll just quit now.

How did you gain 30 lbs in such short time if you don't mind me asking?

I've gained about 40-50 pounds this year because I now have a desk job and all I do is set a computer for 8 hours a day then go home and watch TV and/or play video games. I would be interested in a good diet plan as well but, I probably won't get motivated enough until after New Years.

Im not expert, not even close, but burning 20 pounds in 20 days isnt healthy and neither is the process you would have to endure to burn that kind of weight.

Think about it, if it were safe or easy, every fat burning/ exercise program would have proplr doing it. Its not likely or healthy so they dont do that.

There is a guy here named auburnalumni i beleive, he seems to know alot about that kind of stuff I would recommend dropping him a pm or something.

Eating bad everyday, and eating a TON of fast food. $12 and $13 trips to Taco Bell and McDonald's almost every day, sometimes twice. And then on gamedays (Saturdays) I would eat frozen pizzas, coca-colas and order gyros all day. On top of that I was drinking heavily. Vodka and beer.

I tend to go through this phase every year during college football.

Why does it have to be 20 days? Honestly I would shoot for 10 lbs before XMas and maybe 20 lbs in 2 months. No reason to be unhealthy about it.

Just stop eating fast food, and only drink water. That alone will help you out a ton. I did that back when I actually had weight to lose and I dropped 50 lbs in 3-4 months. I probably lost 20 lbs in the first month, but I was also playing pick-up games a few times a week so I burned a lot of calories that way.

Cardio is your friend as well. Do little things, like parking farther out when you go somewhere so you have to walk more. Doesn't sound like much, but those things add up.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum though, I'm trying to gain weight. It's a LOT harder IMO than losing weight.

I would assume it would help if your on the" thicker side " to begin with. People lose 20 pounds in 20 days all the time on the Biggest Loser. The problem is that you probably have a job, and other everyday type of stuff going on in your life. I lost 128 pounds in 11 months......but I worked out 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, and I ate nothing but health. If I did take a bite of a brownie, I took one bite and spit it out, just to have the taste of it.

Bro it was tough, probably the toughest thing I ever did. When other people were watching tv late at night, I was running, when they would order pizza, I would eat salad or just go for a walk.

The work that was needed to accomplish this though, was well worth the results. I went from 325lbs and a 52 inch waist. to 198 and a 32 inch waist.

On the last day of the weigh-in period...I was driving in to work to weigh in and popped a tic-tac in my mouth. I spit it out like it was an acid drop ....in horror that I put some sugar in my mouth.
I went one two entire months with zero sugar.(an impossible task for me. )

Thats the whole key Knight...is giving your body a chance to recover from the shock, and having it( your body ) consider the changes the norm. Its a very hard transition though...
