Oh let me tell you how messed up Walmart is with their biasness. One of the co managers was a weed smoker and slept with several of the female workers who wanted extra hours. Because if you didnt know, 95% of Walmart work force per a store is part time only. But anyway he was buying his weed off of one of the female sales associates that been working there for 6 years. He been with walmart for one year.

He got caught one day by the actual store manager. Now tell me why did they fire the girl but just transfered him to another store still as a co manager ???

Another example.......

Walmart dont believe in sick days PERIOD. You can only take 3 days off in a row. Now this ex co worker of mines had pnemonia, so naturaly she took a week off. The day she came back, they called her into the office and fired her because they said according to Walmart policy you only allowed 3 consective days off and pnuemonia isnt sick enough to warrant more then 3 days off.

Another example......

People in the electronics department all have sales associates on their badge. However we had to stock the shelves during the day, get the tvs down from the bin in the back and carry the tv to the front of the store and put it inside the customer car.

Now you might say where are the stockmen ??? They only had 4 for the entire store and stockmen at walmart were also the cart pushers so therefore they be gathering carts outside 90% of the time.

Another example.........

Walmart dont believe in overtime PERIOD. But yet during the holiday season from october to january, they make you work 10 hour shifts, with no over time pay and just tell you to take an extra 30 minutes during your lunch break.

LOL...if I didn't know a couple of people that worked for WalMart, I might have been guillable enough to believe all those things.

Oh every Walmart store is different that is for sure. But the one up here near me is one of the most corrupt store in Indiana, well maybe the Hammond one is the worse. So just be glad the people you know that work for Walmart have a good manager for their store.

Because really that is where the problem lies, with the manager of that particular store. And the manager of the particular store I worked at grew up here and is loved by the community and former football state all american, so he isnt going to get replaced anytime soon.

Wal*Mart's new thing is to give you a vague job title to make you do other jobs in the store.

At one point I was a Courtesy Associate so basically anything that benefited the customer I had to do.

I had no issue helping out, but when you pull me from one job that pays significantly less, to do another job for 5 hours that pays 2 dollars a hour more, I want to see the difference, but then again I'm old fashion.

The greeter could get fired for leaving his post, there is no reason for the greeter to be outside the store.

From the video it looked like he was out on the sidewalk. The Door Greeter has no authority to go outside the store to stop customers, unless I'm looking at the angles wrong.

At least at the store I worked at, the greeter could ask him/her to stop and come back, the only people that can stop a customer outside the store are Managers and Loss Prevention.

Oh tell me about it. I was hired as sales associate in the electronics department, but then had to stock shelves and carry big tvs to people cars like a stockman. Then was made to do cell phone contracts at the wireless connection center, get people photos in the photo lab, get furniture in the furniture department, do stuff in the toy department

But the kicker was, the managers there looked at you as though you suppose to do 10 different jobs through out the store like it was natural.

Any reasonable request by management must be done.

I was wearing shorts, and they told me I had to go stock the freezer.

Keyword being reasonable. I felt sorry for this one guy who was putting in a garage door opener battery for this old guy. Now I told him dont do it, but he was one of those I must give 110 percent effort for customers.

Now why is it the next morning this old guy call corporate and tell them this Walmart associate scratched up my garage door opener. And the store manager found out and gave him a writen coaching because we had to buy the old guy a brand new $375 garage door opener.

It was total BS really because I seen that guy garage door opener, it was old as hell and already scratched up. But like always corporate takes the side of the customer every time.

I love shopping at Wal-Mart.

Honestly, there's a lot of jobs that suck, it's not exclusive to Wal-Mart.
