I generally only use the unlock all songs one for Rock Band if I don't have my fully unlocked save with me.

I still use codes in games like GTA or Saints Row. Its fun to see how much crap you can get into with unlimited ammo or invicibility.

I never use the cheats the first time through but on my second time its fun to just mess around with them. I remember playing God of War on Ps2 with a gameshark and using it to level up Kratos to full power and just beating up on the earlier enemies.

Makes you feel unstoppable Lol the feeling isn't the same when you do it the normal way. Because once you get that powerful most of the enemies are still tough so its not as much fun. For me they add a little replay value to the game because you get to experience it in a different way.

Cheating just to beat a game is a no, no though it just ruins the whole game imo.

Only if you count using hyperspeed cheating in RB/GH

The last time I use a cheat was for GTA: San Andreas.

As a youngster, Im sure I did, but I cant remember for what.

I think developers are basically removing cheat codes from most games, simply because they aren't necessary. They give you unlimited lives from the get-go in every game these days anyway. They are trying to implement that fun-factor so that you don't need to cheat to have fun.

But to answer your question, I have more fun by being challenged, as opposed to cheating. The last game I actually used cheats for was Vice City.

I've stopped using cheats since Ps1. Though once in a while i'll look for stuff that i may have missed in games i've played. Case in point, i missed the silenced VSS sniper rifle inand figured out how to get Altair from Assassin's Creed's outfit in MGS 4.

I was tempted to find some when i was playing through that test of manhood known as Ninja Gaiden sigma. BUT THEY DONT HAVE ANY.

while playing any Mortal Kombat/any game that didnt include complete set move list..would you guys consider using a "Fatality/Animality/super combo " Book cheating? i mean, they never really addressed what they were so you had to figure them out on your own, with the book everything was right there.. so i guess taht was the only cheating i did

Not anymore, now that I'm older and more mature I want to finish games without cheats and I want my sports games as realistic as possible. The last time I used cheats was in Saints Row 2 though, and it wasn't to help me out it was to make my character very small lol.

I remember playing GTA III on the PS2 and always using cheats.

Re: Do you [still] use cheat codes for video games?

I use cheats, walkthroughs, downloadable saves (for the Wii or PS3), and whatever else there is to help me get through a game. With game time at a premium, I don't want to be stuck on certain stage, have to level up 10 levels to beat some uber-hard boss in an RPG, or die over and over and over trying to make a perfect jump.

It's more fun for me to complete a game I spent money on and am interested in as opposed to struggling and getting frustrated and ultimately trading a title in. No need to prove how "hardcore" of a gamer I am on the internets.

I would NEVER cheat in an online game or exploit glitches, however. Cheating in single player is one thing, but online everyone should have an even playing field, and I make full use of the complaint systems available to report glitchers, cheaters, plug pullers, etc.

Never really used them except on the rare occasion; don't plan on starting.

I haven't used cheat codes since GTA Vice City. Even then I was just using cheats to go around on killing sprees and see how long I could last. Other than that, I occasionally look at walkthroughs if I get stuck at something and cannot figure out what to do or how to do it. GameFaqs is usually the place if I have been stuck for an hour or a day.

I normally don't use them. When I do though its after I have beat the game.

I am actually trying to use some cheats in Hitman: Blood Money for the PS2, but they won't work and its frustrating. I want to have all the weapons lol.
