I'll tell you when it happens.

Technically, I did live at a University for a year, but I was home damn near every weekend, so I don't count that.

    (I'm 20, for anyone wondering)

Left my mom's house the first time at 18 a month before I left for college because she was pissed that I didn't want to get a job...when I was just about to leave anyway.

Moved back in a few months later, and that lasted until October when she "kicked me out", then I moved in with my grandmother until December.

Moved from my gram's to an apartment with 2 of my friends from December to late April, then moved from there to my aunt's house.

So it's been over a year since I've lived with my mom, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She still manages to make my life unnecessarily difficult, though.

My parents didn't pay a dime for my college, room and board or books. That was paid for due to my merits.

I moved out when I was 19 and left for school.

          17...college

otherwise I might have stayed at home for a while. I might have been better off leaving home a little later than I did actually

Yea, I also paid for everything in college (well 25% of everything as 75% of my education was paid for by financial aid and the hard work I put in during high school). I'm still paying the left over 25%...Loans. So I was on my own, living in a different state during college.

But I officially moved out when I was 24. Then moved back in when I was 24 because I lost my job. Went back to school (film school) and now I'm living on my own for good at 27. My sister is my roommate and we live in my dad's old apartment (both of my parents moved to the Dominican Republic).

I moved out of my dad's place just days after my 16th birthday and got an apartment with one of my co-workers from the pizza shop I worked in at the time. My father is a cool guy and we get along great now, but he pulled the whole "my roof, my rules" bit on me so I went out and got my own roof so to speak. I continued to go to high school for about six months too and then it just became too time consuming and my grades were trash so I dropped out. I stayed in that apartment in Orlando for about a year and a half until I found a job in Cleveland and moved up here. Within two years of living in Cleveland I was a homeowner. I don't regret moving out young and/or dropping out of high school one bit. My path in life is certainly not the best path for most people, but it damn sure worked out for me.

I guess for some people it's not moving out when your parents still pay for everything.

If your parents still covered all major expenses then it's just like going to boarding school.

Yep, that is how I see it. Some might see it different, but that is what I am getting at. But Stewart might have had a scholarship like BK. That would make a little difference. Especially if they worked on top of that and payed their own bills.

                            Great job.

I was 18 when I went to college. I have not lived at home since. One thing I sometimes think about is that I should have slowed down and broadened my horizons a bit before moving on. I lived in the same house until I was 18. Lots of great memories in that house.

My wife and I now have our own home and 4 boys to help destroy it.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Moved out shortly after my 19th b-day.

I had originally planned on staying at my Mom's house until I finished college. Though she ended up getting remarried and I simply didn't want to move into another dude's house with his family(two daughters around my age). They're nice people and all, but it just felt awkward to me at the time. I ended up having to start working full time while taking fewer classes, but I've been able to make it work so far.

I'm 22 now, and after living in a couple of different apartments the last few years I'm now back in my Mom's old house. The housing market has been crap here, so I'm now renting out the house I spent most of my childhood in. It's s great place, and she's giving a decent deal on the rent... it's just funny how things work out sometimes.
                              Now, more than ever

Were the daughters hot getinthevan? If you're gonna suffer might as well catch them walking around naked or something(assuming they are your age or older)

As for me, I'm 19 and still stuck here. Not to bad, friend has apartment 2 minute away that all of our friends have keys to so I basically do have my own place.
