2000 - I was a 16 yr old kid with hoop dreams. Living an unstable life (my parents were gambling addicts and gamble away everything and eventually our home). Even lived on the street for a week. I got into a little trouble at school. People (family) predicted that I would not amount to anything. That just made me hungry to prove others wrong.

2009 - I'm 25 yrs old, two years removed from college. I have a good job as an accountant (just made 2 years on the 17th). have an awesome girlfriend, nice car and about to have my first home built. My parents are doing a lot better and are in a great position. Honestly, I am proud of the man that I came to be (always working to be better though).

2000 - Senior in high school, getting prepared to play some D1 soccer!

2009 - Managing a Buckle, have the best girlfriend a guy could ask for, and am a has-been, who still plays soccer and/or coaches on weekends, lol.

2000: 24, single, very depressed, living in tucson with my mom, working for papa john's as a manager

2009: 33, married, two boys, living back home in indiana, general manager of the same papa john's for 8 years now

2000: I was in first grade. Thats about all I know...

2009: Now I'm in grade 11. Still no difference personality wise. I'm still shy and don't talk to many people... the only difference is I'm more more mature and have my drivers license now.

2000 - 5th or 6th grade, only dream was playing college bball (hated the NBA then, still do), was straight A student and in special programs for like the top 10 kids. Life was great then man, it was all about Harry Potter and Dragon Ball Z and no one was going to judge you for anything because no one was at that point yet.

2009 - 2nd year at a small college, finally starting to figure out what I want to do with my life (minus my major, unfortunately). Not really looking for a relationship because I'll be moving to Florida next december so it would be pointless.

2000 - 12 years old....all I cared about was watching NBA basketball and writing rhymes in my rhyme book. I had a very quick temper and would flip on anybody for the even the smallest thing.

2009 - 21 years old....Student at Shaw University in Raleigh, still going strong with the music and work even harder at it...at this point in my life it is something that I take very seriously. I don't really have a temper at all now, in fact I'm extremely laid back, sometimes to a fault.

2000 - 16-17 years old, LOVED basketball but didn't play it for my school cause I had a bad coach, no interest in college, no idea on a career, no girlfriend, just kinda there......

2009 - 26 years old, graduated college (first of my family), married, work as a graphic designer for a tribal government, bought a house, new car, have a pug. Very happy, other than losing my hair and being out of shape (not fat tho, yet).

2000 - Lived in Fresno, thirteen years old, really fat.

2009 - Live in LA, 22 years old, the same weight as I was when I was thirteen.

Other than that, my personality, interests, thoughts, beliefs, opinions, etc....all the same. My temper is not as bad as it was during the middle of the decade though.

2000 - Miserable in 7th grade, shy, quiet, like to be left alone, playing the hell out of NBA Live 2000 and NHL 2000

2009 - Slightly less miserable in college, shy, quiet, like to be left alone, playing the hell out of NBA 2k9 and NHL 2k8

Oh yeah, the biggest difference?

Like 12 schools.

2000- 8 years old, I believe I was in 4th grade. I had a crush on my teacher's daughter who would give me some French classes after school. (She was hot!!)

2009- 18 years old, about a month out of Navy basic training. Have changed so much in the past year for the good. If I would look at my life as it was a year ago, it would be nothing close to what it is today. Also, not enjoying Navy Nuclear Power School. Hardest school ever and I've only done one week. Basic math is not basic.
