    This one is embarrassing.

I got on the wrong train.

Meant to take my usual one, wasn't paying attention, hopped on the train at the same stop as mine, but it was the train that arrives before mine.

Ended up in the next town over lol.

Must be friday, and I woke up before 6am lol.

was looking for my car in bigbox parking lot this morning. wasn't sure where I parked when I came out. I hit the alarm button on my key and when I didn't hear it respond straight away, I held the key up to my ear to see if I could hear it better

I was catching up with a former student earlier today, and she was talking about her life and such. She mentioned she has a twin sister, and two younger fraternal twins in her family as well.

The first thing that ran through my head was: "What made your parents decide to have two sets of twins?"

Left a tube of crescent rolls on stove while it was heating up. Tending to my Dad and heard a loud pop, and go into the kitchen and see the tube popped.

It shot the lid across the room lol

Not an actual brain fart here, but just a moment of stupidity.

I bought all the John Wick movies on UHD though I'm still just a 1080p BD owner guy, and am re-watching them right now. I just finished the first film, and when I popped in the second film it asked me if I'd like to resume watching. I thought to myself: "... yea?"

I thought for a moment that these movies were encoded to know that my player had just finished watching one of them and wanted to jump to the other one. When I played it, I saw the credits rolling and heard the commentary track on. Even though it has been a couple of years since I've seen the film, I guess my PS3 has cached and not forgotten that I had once rented the Blu-ray and watched it before. I'm silly.

EDIT: My actual first thought was that I just put in the first film's disc again, which would have indeed been a brain fart.

Going to work, tried tapping my card on that black security box to unlock the door but it didnt work. Kept trying but no luck.

I heard the cleaning person in there so I figured they locked the door completely because they were cleaning out everyone's lockers.

I turn around ready to leave and just leave my stuff with my manager only to realize I wasn't using my ID card the entire time. No wonder it didn't unlock.

Last week we had a couple days where the temp was in the single digits. Before leaving for work I like to start up my jeep and let it warm up. So I started it up and came back into the house for 10 minutes or so , then I spent 20 minutes looking for my keys and finally my wife said "um aren't they in your Jeep?"

On Friday I put some chicken wings in a marinade on the counter. Then forgot about them for 3 hours...

Yesterday I put some chicken and other ingredients in a slow cooker and set it to warm instead of hot. Notice about 3.5 hours later and the chicken was sitting at like 90°.

                    Didn't eat either.

No sports for about a month now has taken its toll on me.

I was watching TV, they were doing a "best of" clip show for MLB. One of the people interviewed to talk about a moment from decades ago was the first base coach.

My initial thought "First base coach? He was the first guy to ever be a base coach?"

                      Come back sports!

Recently I spent maybe $60 on some items at a store I rarely shop at. I paid normally and that was that.

A few weeks later I was doing some cleaning and found giftcards from that very store!

Not really a brain fart, but had I remembered I had giftcards to that store, I would've just used it up. Who knows when the next time will be when I shop there. I guess I could just regift these cards come Christmas time.

Lol, I was watching a rerun of a game on TV, and at the bottom they had their ticker on the screen. Usually in instances like this the network would just put their current ticket over top.

I was reading it and it started mentioning NBA trades, free agency, and MLB trade rumors.

I started wondering why any NBA team would give up a 1st round pick for a guy just for the playoffs, especially teams that won't make it past round 1, or MLB teams already targeting players to trade for.

Eventually I realized it was an old ticker once it started talking about guys being named to the all star team.

rolled my car driver side window down so I could put my head out and make sure I didn't put the car in the ditch in front of my house as I backed out of the drive, like I always do and have done ever since the time 15+ years ago my brothers best friend put his car in that ditch. the brain fert wasn't that I put it in the ditch anyways but that I accidentally rolled the back window down and felt like I broke my nose when I put my face into the still rolled up front window. that's what you get when you keep your windows too clean and clear I guess

I worked on my FWD car a month ago, driving the front two wheels on ramps and chocking the rear wheels. Literally ten seconds before I got in my car to back out, I told myself to remember to remove the chocks. Somehow I forgot to, because when I was trying to reverse and wasn't going down (thinking I wasn't putting enough power to go over the small lip from the ramps), I later found my car slamming down on the ground hard as the ramps shot right out directly forward.

I don't think there was any damage to my car anywhere, but I can't believe that I did that and forgot. Oof.

Re: Your brain fart(s) of the day

Hard to explain but I'll try.

You know how stores might have bins and other items in the center of a pathway between aisles? Usually it separates the pathway into two (so one side goes one way, one side goes the other, not that people follow that).

I was walking down one side of the bins, and someone was coming from the other way. They took up that whole path, so I could either sidestep right into an aisle and let them pass, or sidestep left around the bins and just go to the other side of the bins and continue walking.

I decided to go left so I could continue walking on the other side of the bins. Only problem, the one section I sidestepped into didnt have an opening to just go to the other side of the bin, it had a pallet with some items blocking that opening, so I basically just stood between two bins, almost on the pallet itself, while the person just continued walking past me giving me a "why did you suddenly just stop there" type look.
