    Side note:
My oldest sister was on Jokers Wild.
She only got to spin once.
The next spin the other contestant got JOKER-JOKER-JOKER. We have it on tape...

Not really...the closest I've ever been was probably sitting close to McGwire's 60th HR in 1998. I don't know if I was actually on camera though.

Was on the local high-school produced channel several times for band stuff, but that doesn't really count.

I was on ESPN for catching a home run with my hands back when Cliff Floyd was on the Marlins.

My wife and I got to be on the King of the Ring 2002 DVD when Hulk Hogan came out. We made a half red half yellow sign, and told everyone we'd make it on TV. When we bought it, we watched the whole thing, and couldn't believe we actually were on it.

                  Re: Ever been on TV?

I have come close, but never been on TV. Late last year, when my work announced that they were closing down the site I work at and moving us over to the Groton facility, a bunch of news reports were vulturing right outside of our campus trying to talk to everybody. They asked if they could interview me about the announcement, and I just said "I can't answer any questions. You'll need to contact our media relations people to get an interview as none of us are willing or able to discuss this." So that was it.

I have had some of my work published, however. In 1999 I did some scientific research about Green Flourescent Protein And The Structure Of The Chromophore Cavity and had my name included as one of the authors along with the professors I worked with. That research was published in one of the main scientific publishing magazines. A couple of years ago, my hobby of collecting the elements was discovered by a textbook publisher and they asked me if they could use my photograph of the allotropes of phosphorus as an image in their textbook. It was used as a chaper introduction. Sadly, I was too excited that they even asked to attempt to get payment for it or even a copy of the textbook.

Last year, another textbook company asked if they could use a photograph I had of Sodium Metal in their textbook. They offered to give me a payment of $250 and a copy of the textbook, so I said YES! I got the check and a copy of the book, and now have my name as a credit in an Introductory Forensic Chemistry textbook. (Which is incredibly cool as my degree is in Forensic Chemistry). Later on, the London Financial Times got in touch with me and said that they were writing an article for their print edition on Thorium metal. They asked if they could use my photo of unoxidized Thorium metal sheet in their article. I said yes, but couldn't get payment from them. Still, having my name in the London Financial Times is pretty sweet.

The Boston Globe asked a friend of mine who lives in Massachusetts if they could interview him about his business. (He sells element samples to collectors and universities who want them for display). Dave got in touch with me and asked if I would mind if he mentioned me as one of his customers and for giving him production methods for some of the elements from readily obtainable compounds. I said sure and got my name in the Boston Globe. Finally, Scientific American (Article Link Interviewed me for an article they were doing. Got to talk to the guy over the phone for the interview and had some fun. Some of the items in the article are a bit off (and I was also nervous for some reason when he mentioned where I work!), but it was cool getting my name in the article.

So while I haven't been on TV, I have been published many times.

That's me in the green. Got some free tickets to the Mavs v. Knicks last night. I was on TV the entire game. The last few minutes or so our section emptied out, so of course we acted like idiots!

I've been a speck in the crowd at several baseball, football, basketball, and NASCAR events.

I also was in some concert back years ago which was aired on local television, I think.

I have a photograph up on some guy's web site of snow I took on March 2nd, 2009.

When I was 9, I won the Ohio State elks hoop shoot, going 35-35 as my opponent went 34-35, we had to go an extra round and all. While it wasn't shown live, they showed highlights and such on CBS a couple hours later. I thought it was pretty cool.

I used to be on TV all the time in the background when I worked at the Stock Market.

Most recently, the Carson Daily show came to my job and did a segment. I have to see the final edit to see whether or not I appeared on any of the footage.

                                Re: Ever been on TV?

I have been on a few times, nothing worth mentioning though. I was on "Jonovision" once which was embarrassing because the show sucked.

I used to be into acting and have been in several short films, but have no idea if any of them were sold and put on TV.

Currently I'm trying to sell my own short since I've been through film school and I'm in it (minor role no dialogue) so if I'm successful that will count

                                However,

I have shot a ton of Marlies games (leafs farm team) and the past few months I've been getting the nod to direct more and more of them at Ricoh Coliseum. So if anyone wanted to come to the game and be on TV I can easily make that happen (even though it's possible to take some heat from the producer for it). oh the power i'm so drunk with power lol.

actually if anyone plays sports in toronto I do smaller shows too for example we covered a big basketball tourney at Ryerson and I directed the whole thing.

all this blabbering though doesn't change the fact that no one on this site would have ever seen me on TV. I have mad respect for people who have been on gameshow's though...like how awesome would it be to be on the price is right and do well.
