It sounds like he broke the law and was surprised when he got caught but of course he thought that he did nothing wrong and completely followed the rules.

Maybe he didn't do anything wrong, the IRS is not infallible. But you don't retaliate in such a violent and idiotic fashion. Now, even if the IRS was 100% wrong and he was 100% right, people will simply write him off as being a homicidal nutjob.

Of course it's possible for them to mess up but not that many times with one person. He clearly didn't do what he should've done and paid for it but blamed everyone else for his problems.

I like what bkfount said, the guy had a plane. Guys like him and the professor down in Alabama scare me. These are highly educated people, not some jihadist or Neo-Nazi blinded by ideology. Even the most famous terrorist in the 9/11 planes was highly educated. I just don't understand the mindset. You would think that they, of all people, would be able to reason through things without choosing such a horrendous option. And then they want to take people with them on their suicidal/homicidal rampages. There is no rationale to describe it other than hate for oneself that is so intense it becomes projected outwards on others. He even tried to kill his family, or at least burn down their home. Heck, even the fat cats who lost everything in '29 had the dignity to leap alone. We live in some really troubling times.....
