This was a terrorist attack why isn't the media or officials labeling it as one yet, because the guy is an American?

Thank god this guy failed in his attempt and there aren't any deaths. This could of been a lot worse. I can't believe a small general aviation plane like that caused that much damage, it looked really bad.

It's just sad that he attempted to take down innocent people with himself. And its scary to think how easy it was for him to hop in his plane and do this. Hopefully other crazy people don't get this idea, because obviously a plane of any size with a full tank of gas can cause a whole lot of damage.

Yeah Phobia, 110% agree. I heard last night that said the average government worker puts $146,000 into the system for their retirement and receive 3.2 million dollars back in compensation. Yet most non-govt. workers put money into social security and will see none of it if things don't change.

I think the bottom line is everyone from both parties want a lot of these issues changed but until the American people start really paying attention then nothing will change because the business as usual will keep going on.

I think the bottom line is everyone from both parties want a lot of these issues changed but until the American people start really paying attention then nothing will change because the business as usual will keep going on.

It is a strange situation indeed. We all see the changes and everyone is affected my all the bailouts. Yet a solution to the issue is no where to be found.

It is alot more complicated than people give it credit. I mean the bail outs are required to a degree. They house thousands of jobs, which keep the unemployment rate down, which keeps money in peoples pockets, which then gets spent on other business. Thus the wheel turns and everyone benefits. So it is not a simple issue.

But everyone can agree things need to get fixed. How that will happen??????? I have no idea and that is why I don't get paid the megabucks, because if I did I don't think I would be complaining !!!! Just like all the other high officials that line their pockets

Normally yes but the media has their own agenda and downplaying what can be perceived as a terrorist attack is something that, right now, fits well into that agenda. Now a year ago, i'm sure we'd have a different slant on this entirely.

Well the guy raises a good point, why can we bailout large businesses but not individuals? Well I'll say why, it's not because they favor big business necessarily but the logistics of the idea is to help the businesses which in turn help the people. If we go down the road of bailing out everyone, middle class included, we might as well fold up our tents and call it quits because it's logistically impossible. But yet it's easy to simply rant, as this guy has, that those in power are simply in bed with the rich I guess.

Wow, just listening to the radio now and that place *IS* where I thought it was, they are saying a guy from a local glass company helped some people out and the place I was thinking of was right by a glass company. I think it hits home when you know of the place. Makes it a little more personal.

Exactly, much more complicated issue. Still stands we need to find a better way to operate this country. But people need to understand it is not a simple fix, not even in the realm of truly wrapping your head around what it requires to fix.

No one take me agreeing with his view points on the IRS and our tax laws like I agree with him killing people. I think that is a sick person. a normal sane person does not do that.

But with that said, I would like to see some good come out of the commotion this letter might cause. If it does open some eyes up stairs and maybe some large news stations start pushing the issue "are our tax laws unjust". Then it would be a positive for the middle class American and our future kids of this country.

Because the simple fact is things such as medicare, welfare, etc are thrown around so loosely. Many of us won't get anything from social security. Yet we all pay for those services to be given to many of people who don't deserve them.

Just stop.

Yeah, he is a terrorist. Timothy McVeigh was labeled a domestic terrorist and he should be also. Maybe it's because he is obviously unstable, with the letter posting, that he's not being called one. But I agree about the point being made about fear of panic. It's better to portray him as a desperate loner. But, by definition, he plotted this out and carried it out to send a message through terror. And there will be nut jobs who see what he did as somehow heroic. He might have touched upon some valid concerns that many of the common people share, but this was totally about himself and his disenchantment with life. He's no martyr, so maybe it is best not to give him a label like "terrorist," just call him a failure.... and hopefully not giving him any larger attention will dissuade others from trying to follow in his footsteps.... I don't know...
