I've had Jerry since I was 11 or 12. When I moved out of my parents house, I took him with me. I've had a hard time sleeping at night, and got up looking for him at 3:00am on Saturday and just gave up. I've got work on Monday, but I think I'm gunna take monday off and look for him. I need any ideas from ANYONE too help me find him.

My Dog Is Missing.
My dog Jerry became missing on Friday night. I just went outside and put a bowl out on my porch and called for him, he didn't come. I called a few more times, nothing. I went out to his dog house and he wasn't their. I've been looking for him all night Friday and most of Saturday. I've looked for nearly 8 hours today asking and knocking on doors and no one has seen him. I'm afraid that it's too late. He could of been hit by a car or something.

Re: My Dog Is Missing.
First, call the local pet shelter/pound/whatever and the Department of Transportation.
If they can't help you, put up signs around town. Put an ad in the newspaper. Walk around your neighborhood calling out the dogs name. Ask your neighbors if they have seen him.
Also, maybe check google and see if they have any other ideas. -
Re: My Dog Is Missing.
My Step-Mom's friend was missing her dog for a week before. She put out a bowl of liver, the dog came back like a day or two later. I think it was a puppy though...not sure if that means anything or not.
Good luck though. Hopefully Jerry comes home soon.Owner, Spear Interactive

Hopefully Jerry comes home on his own or you find him soon. I wish you the best bro. If you lived closer I would help you look for him.Comment

Sorry to hear about that bro. I'd definitely start putting up flyers with his picture on it. Wouldn't hurt to offer a reward.
Good luck.Comment

Losing your dog is a scary time. Thankfully, you are more likely to find your dog again than not. It's important to remain calm so you can look for your pet without anxiety clouding your judgment, and we're here to help you do just that....

Re: My Dog Is Missing.
Posters help, I've lost my dog twice and with posters I found him both times. Usually when dogs go missing they are within a mile from where they disappeared.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

Re: My Dog Is Missing.
Flyers is the best way to go. Post them EVERYWHERE. And put them in your neighbors mailboxes.
I know from experience. I have a Basset Hound named Baylee. Back when I was a sophomore in high school, my parents were split up and I was living with my dad and Baylee stayed with us. My dad met this girl he really liked. She eventually started coming over and staying the night everyday. After about a month, my dad and her started having problems. My dad told her to move out. Well she came by our house when my dad and I were gone to get her stuff. And this bitch opened the door and let Baylee out. She said she was just letting her out to go potty and didn't think she'd run away. Bull****. She didn't watch Baylee or call us or anything to tell us she ran away. I know she did it on purpose as a way to get back at my dad.
Well Baylee was missing for four days. We posted flyers and eventually someone called my mom telling her that he think he found our dog. My mom drove over to the place where the guy found her and saw Baylee laying in a large field. She was a good 2 miles from our house. My mom walked up to her and she started growling. My mom kept saying "it's me Baylee, it's mommy". She tried to grab her but Baylee bit her. She was delusional. 4 days of running around outside in the summer time with minimal, if any, food and water will do that to you. My mom just kept saying it's me it's me before Baylee finally realized who she was and started giving my mom kisses. lol. Turns out that she also had a broken leg. I'm guessing she got hit by a car.
She's doing great now though. She's 12 years old, but we took her to the vet a couple weeks ago and the vet said she's in amazing condition for her age(Basset's only live about 10-12 years).
Well anyway, sorry to hijack your thread. Just thought I'd share my experience. I'm extremely sorry to hear about your dog and hopefully you can find him. It still makes me sad thinking back when Baylee was missing. I was heartbroken for those 4 days. Just keep looking and post a ton of flyers. Best of luck man.Indianapolis Colts

Re: My Dog Is Missing.
Lost my dog the same way 5 years ago. Put a new roof on my house and the roofers left the gate open and when i got home that night. No dog. Never came back. What sucked is he was allergic to flies. When he would accidently eat one, he would have seizures and stuff. So whoever got my dog was in for a real treat. I was bummed for a while. I went through alot with that dog because of his allergies to flies.Comment

No tips, just another guy saying I hope your dog comes back home.
As a dog owner I can't imagine the feeling you have right nowComment

Re: My Dog Is Missing.
Oh man, this is my worst nightmare. I really hope you get him back some how. I get nervous every time we put my dog charlie on his tie out. I just keep thinking he is gonna get out of his collar or something.
The other day he did get loose, but thankfully he found another dog and I was able to catch up to him and grab him just in time. I was a wreck just over that.
I will pray your buddy gets home.Comment
