Did you call your local precinct? Once found a lost dog there, didn't have tags.

Just keep looking, keep praying, and keep thinking positively. And although you've looked in certain spots, don't forget to go back to the same spots, and check there again.

Also, maybe leave some of his treats on the porch or something. Could end up attracting some kind of animal that you don't want though...

I hope and pray that you find him man. I've lost a dog before. Luckily I ended up finding her running around down at the end of the road. I drove my truck up to her, and she hopped right in. I hope you find Jerry soon, and hopefully he comes right to you when you find him.

Just got back from looking for Jerry. I looked in all the same spots, and drove around a few miles from my house looking.

He's nearly 12 years old. I did leave his treats on the porch last night and found one had been eaten, but one was still there. Thought it was weird.

One thing i'd recommend to all dog owners is the installation of a location chip on your dog. I am not 100% sure how they work as my dog doesn't have one yet but my vet said it was $40 and installed between the shoulder blades. I guess when your dog goes missing the local shelters can scan it or something and know that it's your dog. I am going to get this put on my dog when I get him fixed.

For the OP - did your dog have any tags on him with your address or phone number?

That's exactly how it works. There is also usually a yearly fee for the service but it's cheap. We just renewed and it was only $15 for the year.

No, he was usually inside the house. I had just happened to put him out their for that night. It's a bad excuse.

Update! I found Jerrry!!!!!!!!!

I found him right down the street from my house is in someone else's yard. I slammed on my brakes and got out and ran to him, and he just kinda stared at me. When I found him, I thought he would have an injury but I was wrong. Despite a little scratch on his paw, it's nothing severe. I feel so much better now, feels like 1,000,000 pounds have just been lifted off my sholders. I wanna thank all of you guys and the OS community for the support and prayers.

I know how you feel, glad you found him. Dogs usually are within a mile of wherever they went missing, it's just a matter of finding them.
