Video games. Sports on TV is the only thing that even makes this close for me. Like others have mentioned, there are 598 bazillion channels now and about 4-5 shows actually worth watching between them. Only shows I watch now are The Office, 30 Rock, Glee, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the Daily Show/Colbert Report.

The rest of non-sports TV is bull. Television news is worthless. ESPN is annoying as hell anymore. Reality TV sucks. I don't care about watching people dance or sing, I can go to clubs and karaoke bars for that.

Even sports is getting harder and harder to watch. The lack of a salary cap in MLB infuriates me. The NCAA talking about expanding the tourney infuriates me. The joke that is the BCS infuriates me. The NFL pussifying the league infuriates me.

Meanwhile, I can get lost in a game like Uncharted 2 or Heavy Rain or Fallout 3 or MLB The Show for hours and have an absolute blast.

ON TOPIC - TV, I still watch alot of tv shows on History Channel, and a ton of sports. It's TV by a mile for me.

I think a realistic question would be....Would you rather have:

Cable(Dish) or Video games

All I need is the internet and video games...

Between those two activities plus work, self work and my social life, I rarely sit back and watch TV unless its a movie...Maybe it would change if I had Tivo or DVR...

i cant live my life on THEIR time..

BTW you are never to old too play games just like you are never too old to read a book unless of course you're physically unable to.

Video games. I really don't watch much TV to begin with (excet news and sports) and other than that there's rarely anything good on.

TV. I hate saying it, but I've really outgrown videogames. I see no reason to ever get so excited about a game that I don't sleep for days on end and skip work just to play a game. Yeah they are kind of cool at first, but after a short period of time I lose interest in it. Playing videogames all day long would be one of the most boring things I could think of. At least with TV, I can turn it on and go around the house doing other things while the TV is still on. A videogame requires a bit more 'babysitting' to do.

If I was going to be single my whole life, I would pick video games. But since I don't plan on that cause only playing video games would definitely put a block on my relationships I would pick TV.

I chose TV, only reason being is, I;m a big sports gamer and seeing some of these half "you know what games" being made lately, I will take the tube.

Like others have said TV but only for sports. I love watching college football, college basketball, baseball, pro football, and PTI and a few other sports shows on TV. I also watch the occasional Seinfeld or King of Queen episode on TBS. I never watch reality shows, or new TV shows. 95 percent of the channels I have, I've never watched,

Video games overall take up more time then my tv viewing but I can live without video games. I can't live without sports.
