You must be younger than me. I'm 36 and most girls my age growing up thought gaming was dorky. I was married for 10 years and my ex always seemed somewhat annoyed when I played video games..she just never got it. I think alot of that has to do with it not being as mainstream when I was younger as it is now. Some games now are made more for girls. When I was in High School or College you never saw any hardcore girl gamers like you do now. You younger guys got it easier when it comes to gaming and the opposite sex for the most part.

Used to be video games for me; now it's TV, hands down (unless FIFA 10 is the video game choice).Comment

Re: TV Vs Videogames: which would you choose?
I can't believe it's neck-and-neck. I would do TV by far, but I would dominate computer w/ Internet over both of them, no questions asked.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Watching TV on the internet would be against the rules of this question.Comment

I'm not the OP, but I'd assume dvds, blu rays and movies (movie theater) are not tv.Comment

Re: TV Vs Videogames: which would you choose?
I don't know. I said I could watch the UFC on my computer and do without TV easily, but he said that counted as TV for some reason. So I'm not sure what his definition of TV is, exactly.Comment

Re: TV Vs Videogames: which would you choose?
I voted video games. Pretty much the only TV I watch is live sports, and I can watch that through the internet (which IMO doesn't count as watching TV). Though I am making sure I set aside some time tonight to watch The Pacific on HBO.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: TV Vs Videogames: which would you choose?
I only watch filmic shows you'd find on hbo and some showtime etc.
most tv is utter garbage, and some of it even makes me a bit pissed off that so many people watch and enjoy it (friends) lol.
without sports I take videogames very easily.
So I have conditions lol. If I can go to bars to watch UFC or NFL or whatever AND go to cinema's to watch films -I would do that and take vids over TV.
I'd miss great shows like Deadwood, Rome, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Hung, Misfits, and so on though.
glad i don't have to choose, but I do enjoy the odd hypothetical.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
