Nah that seems about right. You can actully get a fair bit of food into 1500cals if you know what your doing and your body will drop fat.

I've used fitday before and it's ok if you eat roughly the same thing most days because you often have to enter your own custom foods because their lists are pretty hopeless but that SP website might be better.

Are you going to track cals everyday Sting or just doing it at the start so you can gauge how much you can eat each day?

Lol today will def be a "cheat" day for me today. Heading to the Melbourne Grand Prix with all food / alcohol included. I just made sure i had a light b'fast and will get back into it hardcore tomorrow.

Yea, I'm gonna track everything for the atleast the first couple of months just to be on the safe side.

All you can eat/drink at the Melbourne Grand Prix sounds insane!! I'd love to bet there

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Day 1 pretty much in the books for me. I didn't consume many calories but I feel heavy as hell. I just don't know if this low cal will work for me but time will tell.

-was only able to do 20 minutes of cardio but managed to burn 330 cals

Had a weird day as far as eating as I was off work so I didn't get up and moving til late:

        Breakfast - none

Lunch - Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup Lite (140 cals)

Dinner - Arby's Large Roast Beef Sandwich (547 cals), 2 Arby's sauce packets (30 cals) 2 Spotted Cow beers (300 cals)

        Caloric intake: 1017 Goal: 1200-1500

Today was a victory as far as calories but I feel heavy. No way I'm gonna be lighter in the morning when I weigh-in.

Edit: I'm on my 4th glass of water. My goal is 8/day. I'll knock those out during the tournament tonight.

Thanks. I guess my plan was low calories and exercise. More than anything else, I was just motivated to make the change and stick with it. I just trusted the simple science that if I burn more calories than I was consuming, I'd drop weight. I was like a man possessed.

Now the motivation to maintain is easy. I just look at those old pictures and see how good I look/feel now and know that I don't want to go back. It's strictly for vanity reasons, but there's also a big confidence boost that comes with the "new me" that I also don't want to give up.

Well guys I'm kinda loose with what I'm doing. I do probably need to start writing stuff down like you guys but I've just been trying not to stuff myself and eat as much as I normally do. What I really changed this first day lol, is the soda intake and the after hours eating. Right now I have 3/4's of a Blimpie's just calling my name but I'm not touching it. I'm putting down some water and getting ready to eat a banana. I'm trying to get off that soda too. I had one can today and hopefully I can cut that to no cans. I had to have one though normally I'd go through 4 or 5 of them. I subbed apple juice for the rest. Don't know if that's good or bad.

                      Shouldn't weigh-in everyday but I can't help it, I have OCD. 220.4 this morning
Hit all my goals yesterday. After a late night snack of pastachios, I was still under my calorie total. Finished at 1147. Did 20 minutes cardio. Drank 8 glasses of water.

Today's a new day. Gotta make sure to get my butt over to the gym for atleast 30 of cardio this afternoon.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Wow. Great job guys! That is a lot of fat being burned off here by the OS crowd. A couple of years ago, when I was really going to the gym in order to get myself in shape, I had myself down to 160 pounds. Then suddenly, after being unable to go to the gym at the same frequency, I got myself up to 210 about 5 months ago. I started to then severly cut back on the amount of food I eat since obviously my metabolism has slowed down. In addition, with my diabets getting under great control, my body was no longer burning away fat to get energy due to there not being enough insulin available. Sadly, getting injured has realy hurt my ability to work out.

However, since I hurt my right calf a few months ago, I've started losing weight again. I wonder if that's just my body breaking down fat in order to repair the damage? Since breaking my foot almost two weeks ago, I've lost a LOT of weight. So if you want to drop weight really quickly, break your foot and walk on it for a few days. The intense pain will make you nauseous so you don't want to eat. The inability to walk distances will prevent you from snacking, and the pain medications will keep you from being hungry and stuck in a coma-like state.

I think I really hurt my foot when I went walking a few days ago. I've been limping on it ever since. But I can still eat healthier, and I'll try to do some exercises that don't deal with walking/being on my feet.

After: 150 lbs in mid 2009 (Hooray depression after ex-girlfriend betrays you!)

Currently: 165 lbs - I've been going to the gym since January and lost about 10 lbs of fat and put on some muscle as well. I'll have to take a good picture for you guys.

I lost 25 pounds doing this workout: Run for 2 to 3 minutes, do a set of weights. Repeat. About 10 cycles of this is a solid workout. To boost even more calorie burn, jog for the first minute, sprint for about 30 seconds, then finish the 3 minutes of cardio with a brisk run. If you push yourself, this workout will kick your tail, and the fat will fall off.
