Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Just hit 35 minutes on the stationary bike and burned 603 calories.

I've had 3 eggs scrambled today for a total of 210 calories. I've had 2 glasses of water, my goal is 8/day.

Very good today - having chicken stir-fry for dinner, not sure of the calorie total on that meal yet.

dang man, you must have been going like a demon on that bike!!

hey sting - on the stir fry just be careful of the sodium in the teryaki or soy sauce...swing by the store and pick up some low sodium versions if you can...

the one thing that i would like to bring up is that after eating the fish and vegetables I actually felt full, not uncomfortably full but just full...and guilty about it. Like feeling guilty because i was full. yeah I guess i'm well on my way to developing a full on eating disorder huh? LOL

Some of the beers I like probably have about 250-300 calories.

I'm shedding lbs fast these first few days. I just weighed-in at 215.0. I think I was 225.2 Thursday night when I signed up on Sparkpeople. I knew the first 10lbs were fast but I didn't expect it to be this fast. In a perfect world I would keep losing at this rate and never plateau.....but any day now I'm expecting to.

I'm thinking about getting this exercise bike to help with my exercise:

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a relatively cheap one that would fit in a one bedroom apartment with not too much space available.

That thing is REALLY gonna hurt your butt after sitting it on it for a few minutes. If you're used to riding bicycles it won't. Have you looked at those 'sit-down' stationary bikes with the back support and grip handles by the seat? Those are a lot more comfy to me. But that thing is good quality though, so if it doesn't hurt your butt then that thing is awesome.

Kinda like this but this one there are some cheaper versions. I think this one is $299 @ Target. I got one very similar from Wal-Mart about 2 years ago for $89.99 and it held up fine.

Here's the one I got @ Wal-Mart. It's not extreme high quality but it's really all I needed. I used it everyday for almost a year. It's not the best on the market, but it's cheap and Wal-Mart will take anything back if you don't like it

Yeah I was going to say, those bikes are murder on me at the gym. But if you are used to using them you won't have an issue. I always use the recumbent bike which is much easier on your back. They say your workout will not be quite as many calories on a recumbent bike but it's better for your back.

Well I'm @ 800 calories and heading home to let the dog out, then to fat club. After that it'll be time for the big salad. With only 400 calories remaining I will be forced to have to rely on the salad to get it done tonight as it leaves little room for any other snacking of any kind.

I wished I'd have had time to do another 30-40 minutes on the bike today and i'd feel a lot better about this weigh in.

That looks really good Giggas. A little pricey but that one is damn good quality, will probably hold up for years.
