That is the biggest difference between roadrunner, comcast and fios. With comcast and fios they have good upload speeds along with download speeds. With roadrunner their download is good but their upload is crap.

Comcast. 30 mb/s down and 3 mb/s up. And gaming is perfectly fine.

        AT&T.

I don't know what my exact plan is for, but I get about 2.5-3 mbps download.

        Roughly 750kb/1mb upload.

I don't buy into the numbers game anymore. When my buddies come over, we are all three online playing Bad Company 2 on three different PS3s, while my mom will be in the other room streaming some video.. lag free. That's good enough for me.

It gets the job done, and is far better than it was several months ago.

And since it's more important for gaming, the Pingtest:

Yeah I don't buy into it either. Numbers wise, I've played on horrible connections and amazing connections and they've all been relatively the same. I also don't really understand it that much either. I have the basic package for internet with Comcast which we were told you get up to 12 mb/s download and 2 mb/s upload, yet I've tested it several times and I'm always in the 30 mb/s down and 3 mb/s upload range. In comparison, my friend has the best/most expensive internet package Comcast provides and he only gets about 10-12 mb/s down and 2 mb/s up.

I think it's all overrated personally.

I'm running Verizon FIOS. In comparison to my other ISP in previous years, there is no contest. I love FIOS...except when they the tv gets messed up on occasion.

FIOS does destroy all, I had it in Richmond, VA. It made everything else look like a complete joke.

I have crappy AT&T DSL right now, just signed up for Charter 16mb down/2mb up for $39.99/month for 2 years. Not bad pricing at all.

Being that you got it locked in for 2 years is GREAT for that price.

Damn that's a deal. They dont have Charter in my area. If they did have Charter here I'd jump on it right now.

I am paying for 5mbps down 1.5mbps up for $42 with Clear and I am not even reaching the full speeds. My speedtest shows 2-3mps download speed each time.

Is U-verse worthwhile? Is it DSL? I just wonder because AT&T is now offering free wi-fi with u-verse so i was thinking of switching to their 18mbps service for $55 a month to get the free wi-fi.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
