I had nothing to do with it! But of course I would say I had nothing to do with the thread being locked, even if I did. Hmm.

I honestly had no idea this forum went back as far as 2003. Not sure if that makes me feel old or young.

Re: Classic Threads (Some funny, Some Sad, Some that are Disturbing)

Spent some time here last night. Wanted to bump with 2 contributions and a question.

                  Tip
if you are trying to load an old thread and it starts with www.operationsports.com and won't load, just replace the 'www' with 'forums' so it now reads "forums.operationsports.com" and you'll be able to read it.

                  Legendary thread
Re-bumping this legend (My wife's fat sister and other holiday disasters): https://forums.operationsports.com/f...disasters.html

                  Question
Any tips on being able to read the very early threads (2003 era) that have the /ubbthreads/ in the URL? Example: https://forums.operationsports.com/u...=&fpart=1&vc=1
?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

Something I've read a couple times through were the threads from the Chris Benoit murder/suicide as the story unfolded

Here's a thread from the Vengeance PPV Benoit missed
                    https://forums.operationsports.com/f...24-2007-a.html

Here's a thread from the posted WWE.com article saying the family was dead
                    https://forums.operationsports.com/f...ound-dead.html

Here's a thread happening during the Benoit tribute show on Monday night
                    https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-spoilers.html

If you check out the 15th page of the thread about the WWE.com article at 9:29EST an article is posted that the scene was being investigated as a murder-suicide, about halfway through the tribute show.

Disturbing for sure, something that still weighs on my mind as a wresting fan
                    NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats
                    MLB: Atlanta Braves
                    NBA: San Antonio Spurs

Yup, I'm about to read those threads.

Reading stuff as it happened is fascinating to me.

Every once in a while I do revisit on YouTube real time footage about 9/11, Election Night 2016, Election Night 2000 etc.
