I've always gotten more than $15 bucks on Ebay. You just have to be smart about it. Like I said, the key is knowing when to sell. And even if you trading in at GS, the key is to wait until the have an extra 50% on trade-in's and you should get a decent amount.
Exactly. How many people who have Madden 10 have played 08 or 09 since buying 10? IMO, it's just a waste of space in my entertainment center and the old games have no nostalgic value for me. So, selling is the obvious choice.

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I have every game I've ever owned. I've never traded in a single game.
A lot of times I'll go back and play old games every now and then for nostalgic purposes, so I never want to get rid of them. I probably have 50 or so games for Xbox and Xbox 360 dating back six years since I got my Xbox.
I also have 10 or so Nintendo 64 games along with the Nintendo 64 console sitting in a box somewhere.Last edited by superjames1992; 04-25-2010, 09:56 PM.Comment

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I traded in a lot of games in the past, 3/4 of all my PS2 games (I'm left with 5 now, GTA 3, VC, SA, NFS Most Wanted, and ESPN NFL 2k5) and I've traded a couple of xbox 360 games. And sometimes I do regret trading in games I want to play now for nostalgic purposes.Comment

Keep 'em. Still have my Atari games (150 or so of them) even. Think my 360 collection has eclipsed it though, as I have a lot more $$ than I did as a child, teenager, or college student.Comment

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I only buy games that I know I'll love enough to keep them for awhile. I only get rid of a game after I stop playing them for a really long time and even then it's only games that I just don't feel like having anymore. I still have a copy of The Darkness even though I don't play it at all just because I love the game.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I keep all my games. I can't justify trading in a game I spend $60 on for a couple of dollars. It reminds me of college text books. I kept all those books...except the ones I KNEW I would never read again, and I only traded those in so I would have space.Comment

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I look up the value of the game on ebay minus fees and then take them to gamespot. I will do this with Assassins Creed 2 and maybe Battlefield Bad Company 2 when I want UFC: Undisputed 2010. If I'm being ripped off by 5 dollars I will sell them on the bay else I'll trade them in. Usually for big releases Gamestop does a two for one deal where you can trade in 2 games and get $40.Comment

That might be why I always trade in old video games now even if I only get $2 for a game (which is the lowest I've ever received). That $2 will serve more of a purpose than an old game that sits on a shelf collecting dust.Comment

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I've started trading mine in to Amazon.com because I can usually get within $5 or so of ebay prices and they email you a pre-paid shipping label so it doesn't cost anything to ship (other than the envelope).

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?
I sell almost all of my games on Ebay. I don`t think I have ever traded a game into Gamestop. I do have a few games that I have kept like some of the wrestling titles on the N64. I have College Hoops 2k8 and MVP NCAA Baseball still since they were the last games in the series.Comment
