    I said Zander because metre, centre, ect. are all pronounced that way in non-American English.

            Well, I go with Zon-dre - my son's name is D'Andre, so I liken the two to sounding a bit similar IMO.

                                                        I can see both...I personally see it like Xander, but you have to realize that 90% of people probably aren't gonna see it that way and go with how it looks.

                                                        I get the point, but your kid's name is gonna be butchered for life. Nothing wrong with that, my last name's easy to mispronounce, and my first name is "Erick" with both the c and k, so you just learn to deal and correct people.

                                                            I know it is Zan-der from past mentions of him by you, but I understand how others mess it up.

                                                            I don't see how someone would mess up the full name, but once you shorten it with that more unique spelling, it's just going to happen...
