Re: What is your Weakness(food)
I must respectfully disagree. While I have no qualms about plowing through an all-red bag of Swedish Fish, it's those moments when I come across a candy store (or a Target) that has the assorted colors in stock that makes me throw my fist in the air in triumph.Comment

Re: What is your Weakness(food)
I'm weak to all foods. As a chef I have a hard time curbing my cravings but I do fairly well. But the one thing I cannot resist when put in front of me are Donuts. I love em. Maple bars, glazed, old fashioned, love em ALL.

Of all the professions, after all, few people are less suited to be suddenly thrown into the public eye than chefs. We're used to doing what we do in private, behind closed doors.Comment

Re: What is your Weakness(food)
Um, you live in Colorado. I'd put our Mexican food up against San Diego any day. Some of it is different style, but our taco trucks and places like El Taco de Mexico are as authentic and awesome as you can get. Plus we have the New Mexico/Pueblo green chile season every Fall.

Re: What is your Weakness(food)
I don't know why you guys are even arguing Mexican Food. Both states Mexican pales in comparison to Texas. Never was a big Mexican fan until moving to Texas. My other weaknesses are Chinesse food, and Pepper Steak."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

It got me today. Couldn't resist... like.. a .... tractor... ... beam!
As for Mexican food, it can be made REALLY healthy. Being Mexican I grew up on the home-made Mama's cooking stuff and it was horrible for me but so tasty. Nowadays, my fiance and I merely substitute.
Beef -> 97/3 lean beef : you can't taste the difference
Low sodium taco seasoning kits (for the added flavor)
Cheese -> portion controlled, reduced fat Mexican blend cheese
tortillas -> Mission Carb Control White/Wheat : taste just the same
Veggies remain same (onions, peppers, jalapenos, etc)
Pico de gayo remains same (cilantro, onions, jalaps, etc)Comment
