    stupid/strange little facts thread

You know those weird little facts that you know for some reason or see being mentioned.

    I'll kick us off:

Fingernails grow up to 4 x faster than toenails

One i just saw on a tv advert tonight:

There is no word in the english language that rhymes with orange.

    Post yours here!

Something odd about our society: We park on the driveway, but drive on the parkway. I always found that a bit funny.

          - A ducks quack doesn't echo (Saw that on one of those obsure fact lists some years ago)

          - Stewardesses is the longest word that can be typed using only 1 hand

          - It's impossible to lick your own elbow (Now how many of you just tried to lick your own elbow?)

                          Doorhinge?
                          Isn't door hinge two words?

Some good ones so far. I wonder why a ducks quack doesn't echo?

One i found interesting is that it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. I think remember reading somewhere where somebody got out of being liable for a car accident because they had a sneezing fit and couldn't see where they were gong.

I think Mythbusters showed that it does echo. I could be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure they found out it happens.

                            EDIT: Here we go.
