Here's a question - what's people's opinions on seeing girls who have a male best friend at school that she refers to as her brother/family at school? I've never enjoyed it before, and I want to know if that's just a personal thing or if others are hesitant as well.

So she has a male best friend who isn't her brother but she calls him her brother?

I'm just trying to understand the situation.

But if that's the case, I think it's no big deal. You could end up with a real good friend if the relationship lasts.

If you're only looking for a good time just hit it.

Yeah. She calls him one of her best friends, goes out to lunch with him, goes to her other friends houses with him, but calls him her family in Boston.

I'm not generally worried in this instance, more just gauging whether or not people felt the same as I do about having a greater sense of apprehension in approaching a situation knowing that.

Oh, I'll also add I met him this past weekend when she took me to a party he and his roommates were having, and said that it meant a lot to her that I went and met her friends 'cause they're her "family."

I may just be over-tired, over-Red Bull'd and thinking too much since I'm sitting at my desk trying to write, so this may all seem scatterbrained and nonsensical.

It sounds like they're just a really close group.

It may be hard to get into the group if they're all like a family, but that's something you'll learn as you get to know them better. If you can gain acceptance from all of them it'll be a much better experience overall compared to a "normal" group IMO.

I hate the new mapquest. I was looking up some directions and the site has gotten much worse. I know it wasn't all that great to begin with but sheesh. Oh well i'll have to use Google Maps from now on.
