I pretty excited about the Sharks this year. They have good depth at forward and two good goalies. So it should be a fun year again.

What?! Why is Rich an a-hole?

Personally I love the guy (NH) and think he's one of the best things about NFL Network.

Oh he's pretty good but too much of him drives me insane. He's way too smarmy for his own good. I blame his ESPN background before arriving at NFL-N for that but you are right he's one of the best personalities on the network.

I mean other then Walton family (The famous Wal-Mart owners) views on unionization and corporate structure she's pretty much a blank slate to me. If it's possible maybe you could send me through PM or e-mail your analysis. It might be interesting reading.

Did I ever tell you about the time I sold Derrick Brooks furniture?

I was working in Pensacola, FL (where Derrick still has a home) and he called in one Monday or Tuesday. Luckily, I grabbed the sales call and he said who he was and that he needed a bedroom set urgently for the weekend because he had a charity event. IIRC this was in 2006 and we we're still busy from Hurricane Ivan. Most deliveries were out 2-4 weeks so, I told him that I would have to get it approved but, I could call him back. He agreed so, I immediately went to my Manager and the conversation went like this:

Me: I have a Pro Football player that needs to have a bedroom set delivered this weekend.
Manager: How much the order was going to be?
Me: I would expect him to order a nice bedroom set so it should be a few thousand if not more. Because it's freakin Derrick Brooks and he's a Pro Football player who makes Millions of dollars.
Manager: Ok, call him back, find out out he wants and as long as it's in stock we will push it through
Me: Awesome

So, I call his calling service and tell the lady who I am and she puts me through to him and the conversation goes like this
DB: I've been looking at our website and has found a set that I like
Me: Great. Which one?
DB: The Cottage Retreat, (aka the least expensive set we have) twin size for for my little girls room
Me: Do you like a mattress to? We've got some nice pillow-tops
DB: What's the cheapest one you got?
Me

I ended up completing the order. Later the manager stopped me and asked how big the sale was. Here's how that went:

Manager: So how many thousand dollars was your order to that football player
Me: Umm. 7.
Manager: 7000. Not bad for a weekday.
Me: Nope. 700
Manager:

Also, a month or so before that Fred Robbins was in the store and he had a watch on that looked like it was worth more than my life. You should have seen it.... It was huge.... Hell he is huge.

More like she buying her way into senate. She has dropped some serious dough already...like 20 million dollars of her own money. She said she will go up to 50 million of her own money. Must be nice to be a billionaire.

Anybody else notice since Pared came back, which I assume was today since this is the 1st time I seen him in a while, the number of odd blatantly trolling threads skyrocketed this morning ???

It is as though people were waiting for him to come back or something. I must have came across a half dozen threads this morning he closed.
