I'm engaged!

It happened last Friday night. If anyone remembers a thread from the Supporters Forum about 4-5 months ago, I asked fellow OS'ers about asking the dad for permission before asking the girl. Well I talked to him and it was the best decision I could have done. He was really impressed I came to him and my girlfriend (now fiancee) was equally impressed that I went to him first.

I'm very happy to finally take the next step and it looks like we'll be getting married sometime late May, early June.

Yeah, a co-worker of mine just did that too. He made a drive down to the Twin Cities just for that conversation two weekends ago, and he hasn't even bought the ring yet!

However, it should be noted that he is shall we say..."conservative". He won't move in with her until after they are married. Hell, I'm not sure if they even spend the night at each other's place yet.

EDIT: When it comes down to the decision for me, I guess it would depend on what my relationship is with the father. If I respected him, I'd probably talk to him first. If he was a real *** and we didn't get along, well then eff him. It would also depend on how close my future fiance was with him.

Wow, I shudder even thinking about this stuff. Clearly not ready for all that noise.

The Raptors have the best mascot/use of the mascot in the league. I just wish the actual on court product was that good.

Got summoned for jury duty today. It'll be my second time since I turned 18, and the first time was easily biggest piece of **** waste of time in the world. Went on a Friday, got selected, listened to a BS trial all day. Didn't finish, got held over until Monday, listen to half a day of BS trial, then get chosen as one of the two alternate jurors so I was then forced to sit outside on an uncomfortable bench for three more ****ing hours while the twelve selected jurors deliberated.


And the most annoying part? I got summoned to a court house almost an hour and a half away because, for some reason, the state government is ****ing idiotic and has my address from two years ago on file. Hey dip****s, I've lived at three other registered addresses since I lived at this one.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I haven't heard about too many people doing that these days. Let alone people still being that conservative that they won't live together until after they are married either.

In a way it is, but in another way its not. Because if you don't go, you just don't go, not like they going to do something to you since at least half of those things get lost in the mail anyway.

LMAO @ Adam Morrison.......I swear they use to hype this guy as being the next Larry Bird. He don't even look a like NBA player, he looks like an old high school teacher that suppose to be teaching English class some where in that video.

Is the court house in the County you live in? If not call the number they gave you and they should be able to fix the location.
