I haven't had an alcoholic beverage of any kind since July 1st and I also haven't shaved my face for the same duration of time. I am 30 years old and have never really even attempted to grow much facial hair in the past so this is a new experience. I call it my "sober beard" and it is beginning to run my life.

Doesn't help that the girl and I didn't really talk the one time we worked together on Sunday, so it, apparently, took a moment or two for the girl to think about who I was. Gotta make a good impression next time.

I did this too when they cancelled the NHL season. I called it my "lockout beard". I still have it. Careful man.

She started to play some games that I didn't find to enjoyable. One night she's texting me all night about how she wants me there and how she has this "weird super chemistry" with me. Then we barely speak for the next two days, things got weird and then she tried to pull the age-old "I want to keep hanging out but I don't want to hurt you" line and my response was laughter. She didn't take too kindly to that and we are no longer speaking.

She was a much needed confidence booster, though, so she served her purpose.

That is great! I love the laughter part. I had a girl that like me, but she said she didn't, but she always paged me. (This was back in 90's had no cell phones, ) I was like what is the deal. She said she just wanted to be friends. I told her cool, but stop paging me all the damn time. I find out later her friend had a big crush on me and she didn't want to hurt her feelings. Glad you got a confidence boost.

Just be careful man. Be cool and confident, but not cocky. Girls today see that kinda comment as arrogance. Try this: play the role of "good listener" and see how that works, just don't be a wuss about it.

Off Topic is becoming to On Topic. seems half of the posts on the last 2 or 3 pages (I have 40 ppp) have been about picking up girls and related stuff.

In other news, I sure hope I sleep better tonight than I did last night.

What you want people be talking about something different with every post ? It is only natural for people to post something and then get 5 or 6 reply posts to that post.

If people just posted random stuff and nobody ever replied to any of it, it would be like talking to yourself. If that is the case, don't need to post in a thread at all and just write it down in your man journal. Saying dear journal, I wish can sleep tonight.

On another note......I find it odd men say they don't keep diaries, they keep journals. It's the same thing.
