Is Collective Soul still around?

They did a concert here at the little 4 day fair in the small town I work in. We catered their lunches and dinners while they were here.

They were a bit picky with what they wanted but out of the 3 groups we catered, (CCRevisited, Leann Rimes, Collective Soul) they were by far the coolest/nicest group.

Run down of special meal requests.
Collective Soul, Chicken Picatta, Roasted Red Potatoes.

CCRevisisted, Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Biscuits, Gravy, Fresh Fruit

The "Diva", Grilled Cheese Sandwiches....organic hard boiled eggs, fresh sliced organic tomatoes, 1 organic grilled chicken breast, fresh organic sliced fruit. We did other things for the rest of the band and crew but these were her own special requested items.

She never even got off the bus so we didn't actually meet her. Everything was served to her by some manager or something. meh, whatever.

But yeah Collective Soul is still around although I don't if any are the original members.

Anyways, fall is officially here. It's 50 degrees, 30 mph winds, raining, and there's a flood watch because it's just not going to stop for a couple days. Being at work is actually a welcome distraction on days like this.

Have a lovely day of driving this morning, heading back to my parent's with the wife & child, and 2 dogs... Going to be just lovely.

Anyone else feel like they are like the Griswalds from National Lampoon's when they drive somewhere? The baby is always waking up at the most inopportune time, and the dogs are puking, wife is upset.... lol.

Huge Job interview today. It pays awesome, great benefits, and I work by myself.

If I get it, my money problems are over. I am the only one being interviewed so it does look good.

I haven't had an alcoholic beverage of any kind since July 1st and I also haven't shaved my face for the same duration of time. I am 30 years old and have never really even attempted to grow much facial hair in the past so this is a new experience. I call it my "sober beard" and it is beginning to run my life.

I'm 30 too. I hardly ever drink anymore. I may have like two or three beers when we go out to dinner or when I'm grilling but, even that is few and far between. Also, I've been growing out my "Bama Beard" for almost a month now. I don't shave until they lose and this the third year in a row that I've grown it out. The last two years, I had a beard from September through December (in 2008) and January(last year). Hopefully, this year will be more of the same.

Huge Job interview today. It pays awesome, great benefits, and I work by myself.

If I get it, my money problems are over. I am the only one being interviewed so it does look good.

Story. My dad was at a bar in Marietta, Georgia when they first played "Shine"

At the time he thought they were a Pearl Jam cover band, but he said they were too good to be a cover band.

He has a tape of it, and i've seen it multiple times

I am a real bastard on I-90. And I-71. And I-480

I hate when there's obviously construction up ahead, and instead of merging into the one lane before the construction happens, they speed up and get to the construction, then sit and try to merge then. I actively make sure no one merges in front of me if they do that.

It makes me literally want to go strangle them.

This is probably my biggest pet peeve while driving. I hate when people do this. I also hate when someone in front of me is nice and lets them over. I never let them over and make sure I leave them no room to merge.

Same here, what irks me more in Massachusetts (where police need to supervise) that the cops watch this behavior that could easily be charged as driving to endanger and do nothing. A few months back I was behind a driver of an oversized vehicle (clearly marked for them to take a detour) in a construction zone that literally caused a worker to have to jump into a gully to save his life right in front of the state trooper who did nothing.
