I was in the doctors office so no magazines or anything. I actually did not pass my physical, the DOT has changed the rules so now there is a weight requirements. I'm only a few pounds overweight so I'm not concerned about it. There are about to be a lot of unemployed truck drivers since most of them are really overweight. I just gotta go back in a few weeks and ill be good, I got a 3 month waiver so its all gravy.

Stay away from the gravy and you'll be fine.

I remember hearing the Rays saying that their first two games were sold out but I see a buncha empty seats in the upper deck.

His father had a few massive heart attacks, so they knew it would happen again. Unfortunately, it was an infection that finally beat him. His mother had cancer.

It sucks but I think he's doing good, considering he just lost his father. Think they had a little time to prepare himself for it.

Seriously, baseball is a wonderful sport, and just because you can't appreciate the intricacies of a sport where people aren't getting hit every 10 seconds, doesn't make the sport boring. (I've been arguing this all day)

I want to love baseball, I really do.

I love baseball stats. I'm such a huge number head that it's nearly impossible for me to not.

But the on-field product is just so dull to me. I can't watch it on TV, and without a team nearby to go to, I just don't care.

They aren't worth a damn thing sorry. Sports games have no resale value after 4 months of release. Jam packs aren't worth jack crap because they come in some magazines for FREE. For all 56 games, you probably get $7 for it, no lie, majority of them are old sports games and jam packs.

I agree.......baseball is boring.....I find the following sports boring:

baseball
hockey
tennis
bowling
nascar
golf
lacrosse
cricket
polo

The only time I will watch baseball is if the white sox or cubs are in the playoffs. Baseball is one of those social sports that is only fun when you are there in person with a group of friends or watching it somewhere else with a group of friends. But watching it by yourself is boring as hell.

Well I cant really stand to watch baseball on TV either. Has nothing to do with the sport since I played it most of my life, just hard to keep my attention. To be fair the only sport I watch on TV is football and even then I find my self doing other small things while the game is on. I pretty much have the attention span of a gnat.

BTW- I hope I didn't come off as "If you don't enjoy watching baseball you're an idiot", as that certainly wasn't my intention. But don't say definitively that any sport is boring, because (shocker) the world doesn't revolve around a single person.

Being that I use to live in Europe, I actually happen to enjoy soccer, the euro teams anyway.

But anyway it is so foggy outside you can't even see the mountains and you see the fog moving lower and lower towards the town. Looks like a scene straight out of a horror movie.

And it has nothing to do with people not getting hit every 10 seconds. People aren't getting hit every 10 seconds in basketball, are they? Same goes for soccer.

It has everything to do with the fact that it takes forever just for a guy to swing once. Bill Simmons wrote an article about speeding up baseball and also showing how much the game has slowed down. It was ridiculous the difference between now and then. No one wants to watch a guy kick his feet around in the dirt, go through his little pre-swing routine, talk to the umpire and grab his balls before making one swing.

I'm not saying baseball is a bad sport, it's just boring. I'll play it and have some fun, sure. But sitting and watching an entire game is almost impossible.
