I'm watching baseball, too, and unfortunately it's struggling to keep my attention (as I'm on here doing my daily OS thing)...

Maybe it's the Rays stadium atmosphere?

Idunno, but I enjoy baseball to a point... I watch as many Tigers games as possible, I'd estimate I'm able to see about 150 per season. It's only "boring" to me when I don't have a rooting interest. I've found I can easily watch football and basketball even when I don't care who wins, but I struggle a little more with baseball and hockey. For example, I'm leaning towards switching to espn later to watch UAB v UCF...

...also wanted to agree with Giggas, I love stats and so baseball should be the perfect sport for me, but I can't seem to force it.

Video games should release on Fridays.

There's nothing worse than having school all day while my copy of 2k11 sits at home, unplayed. Release games on Fridays and give us all weekend to go on a gaming binge.

And it has nothing to do with people not getting hit every 10 seconds. People aren't getting hit every 10 seconds in basketball, are they? Same goes for soccer.

It has everything to do with the fact that it takes forever just for a guy to swing once. Bill Simmons wrote an article about speeding up baseball and also showing how much the game has slowed down. It was ridiculous the difference between now and then. No one wants to watch a guy kick his feet around in the dirt, go through his little pre-swing routine, talk to the umpire and grab his balls before making one swing.

I'm not saying baseball is a bad sport, it's just boring. I'll play it and have some fun, sure. But sitting and watching an entire game is almost impossible.

First of all, I wasn't really calling for an infraction, but that comes off as trolling to me.

Secondly, don't tell me the sport is boring. The sport is boring to you. If you feel that way, fine. Don't make all-encompassing statements, because as hard as you may find it to believe, there are people out there that enjoy watching a game of baseball.

If it makes you feel any better, it is the same feeling when you have to sit at work all day and all you think about is nba 2k11, how many jordan challenges you got left to do or what classic teams you want to play as.

I have never seen hype like this for a basketball game. Makes me wonder what I am missing out on. I have never enjoyed basketball games and havent played one in at least 5 years, but I am curious.

Yeah, I never got why games didn't release on Fridays either. Makes more sense than a Tuesday so that us diehards can go all out and not have to worry about work/school/etc, like you said.

Exactly. I wasn't trying to make it sound like everyone in the world thinks baseball is boring. I was just saying to me (and a high majority of people I know) it is.

BTW Katy Perry's hotness makes up for her lack of talent.

What? Where do you put the colored ice cubes? For that matter, where do you get colored ice cubes or do you make them?

So what, how does that make you look like an addict? Teach me, Beantown.

You have to put the ice cubes in anything you drink. Coffee, soda, water, orange juice, hot chocolate. For me, it's not that weird anyway because I rarely drink hot drinks and I made the ice cubes red by using fruit juice anyway so it doesn't water down whatever I'm drinking. However seeing as I can't tell anyone about why I'm wearing this tape wristband, I have to keep lying, tell them to **** off or ignore them. This asssignment caries from person to person, their is one guy in my class who has to keep some green ice cubes in the freezer in his garage to keep his mom from throwing them out or whatever, and his family is starting to wonder why he goes to the garage to get a drink. They are starting to think something is up. No matter where you go, the colored ice cubes must be used. So even if you go to the mall or out to eat you have to put it in whatever you drink. It's kind of a stupid assignment for a lot of people seeing as if you don't live with family members or are alone a lot it doesn't really matter.

The last time I seen this type of a hype for a basketball game was the 1st time they released one on the xbox 360 and people were oooo'ng and awe'ng over the sweat on back of the players jerseys.

But anyway told my wife broke down and said ummm can we turn the heater on ? Just for a tad bit ? LOL I started to say what the hell for its 50 freaking degrees outside and it says it is 70 degrees in the house.

However I said go head turn it on...... She gets cold way faster then I do.
