Re: Off Topic 2010
Arrrg, but repressed memories from law school and Contracts class where we had a case to read over the definition of a chicken. It's a classification put on birds for for the size and age. A frying chicken is a whole chicken 7-13 weeks old and 2-4 lbs in weight. While it may be classified as a fryer chicken you can cut it and cook it any way really. BBQ, boiled, etc..
This recipe is best used with bone in chicken peices. If you want to do chicken breasts I would use a corn meal batter instead. Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with using this batter with BL/SL chicken breasts.
What I would do in your case is go the store and buy a "fryer pack". It's chicken that has already been cut up and is ready for battering and frying. it's much cheaper than chicken breast as well.Comment

My new job is crazy with the amount of work I must finish. I sure do sleep well at night, though.

Re: Off Topic 2010
The debate was over what type of chickens were ordered and the standard used for finding a contractually undefined term. Basically someone thought they were ordering large frying chickens but ended up with small baby frying chickens. It has been a few years now, but I was the one had to present that case in class and it was a brutal 30 minutes of grilling. Thank god the prof was hot though that made it easier (I would post pics but for as hot as she was in person she photographs horribly).Comment

As if we needed anymore evidence that football has surpassed baseball in popularity in this country (from Bill Simmons):
Ratings for last night: worst possible NFL game with 2 crap markets (7.2); best possible MLB playoff game with 2 huge markets (6.5).Comment

I saw this at another forum I regularly visit. A part of me is sad but the NFL has eclipsed MLB for close to 10 years now so it's not that surprising. Still, how can more people watch a ho hum game between two low profile teams instead of watching the Big Bad Yankees against arguably the best pitcher in the game?!
I wonder what the youth demo numbers were like?Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Fantasy football. I watched more of the football game to see how Chris Johnson was doing because after Texas scored two runs and I saw Lee was hitting his spots, I already knew what was happening there.I saw this at another forum I regularly visit.
