Go to MEPS and they give you a physical, make you walk like a duck, and you pick your rate or MOS. Basically a job you will do in the military.

Then you go to Boot Camp.

Then Technical School and any other schools they want to send you.

Then you go to your duty station or home if you join the reserves.

    What branch you interested in?

LOL I remember the duck walk. Mainly because it was this guy who couldn't do the duck walk at all, he would fall down after 2 steps.

But anyway......Four Loko has been replaced......Whipped Creme Alcohol is all the rage now.......WOW, what's next, alcohol flavored cereal ? Alcohol flavored toothpaste ?

No, but this is ridiculous. She's so hungry for attention that she feels like she has to do this. This is basically the "issue":

My family and I have a fantasy football league (she's not in it). Most Sundays we get together and watch the games, eat food, the usual. Obviously there's alcohol there, but I don't drink there because I usually have work in the morning, plus I have to drive home. Apparently "two people" told her I was drinking at said parties. 3 things:

            1. It's not true.

            2. She's admittedly been drinking since she was 13 years old. Pot, kettle, black.

            3. Every weekend she asks me if I'm going out and will tell me "don't drive and call me if you need a ride home". Sooo I can go out with my friends, but it's an outrage if I drink in a MUCH safer enviornment?

I haven't heard from her yet, but apparently she's been calling/bitching at every other person in the family.

Co sign to the 100th power. Make sure it is something you actually WANT TO DO. Because once you sign those papers and take that oath at the MEPS station, you in and no getting out unless you severely injured.

I remember when I joined people were all gun ho, but as soon as we got off that bus at Ft Knox, 1/4 of the people on the bus started crying for their mama. Some people just can't deal with being yelled at.

LOL I know what you mean. I work in mental health at Navy Boot Camp and 95% of the patients I see are there because they miss their mommy. I have to deal with this everyday,

Are recuiters' pay based on how many they get to signup? I've always wondered if they're on a commissioned-type salary.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

So... I bought a pack of Fruit Stripe gum yesterday. For nostalgia.

I swear to god, and this isn't an exaggeration, it loses all of it's flavor in the 3-5 minute range.

                              Good while it lasts, though.

Yeah, it's weird when you find really old change. What I find weird is that there are apparently still a ton of 1976 bicentennial quarters in circulation as I see them quite regularly.
