Saturday night, I went to Stub-Hub for poops and giggles and bought two tickets for ALCS Game 5 at Yankee Stadium. Section 131, Row 8. (Field level down the left field line). For some reason, the tickets were only a bit over $100 each! Last year, I took my dad to the first EVER playoff game at the new Yankee Stadium. This year, unless the Yankees sweep or get swept, I will see my first ever ALCS game along with my dad. I'm REALLY hoping that the Yankees clinch it in Game 5, but if they don't and they do get eliminated (), I can at least say I brought him to see the last game of the year for the Yankees in 2010.

My dad is really psyched about this, and I'm glad to be able to take him. If the Yankees sweep in the ALCS (Yeah, not going to happen), I'll take my refund and put it towards World Series tickets if I can get them. I'm just happy to take my dad to the 5th game in the past two years. (Yankees have won every game I've taken him to). He only took me to two games growing up, and when I took him to the ALDS last year he told me that he was sad he couldn't take me to more. I just told him not to worry about it. He helped me grow up to be a successful man who earns enough money to take him out to ballgames now. I'm really looking forward to this. My dad and I have really grown closer since I moved out of the house, and I know tht when he was growing up his father treated him like ****. So looking back I could always tell that he struggled to be a good father. Every time I see him now, I always tell him how much I appreciate what he did for me. (He was in the Navy for pretty much the entire time I was growing up, and turned down many promotions in order to make it so I didn't have to move. This way I could see my same doctors to treat my diabetes. At one point, he moved and lived on his own, commuting every weekend, to Portsmouth, NH so I wouldn't have to move. These games I'm taking him to can't ever pay that back).

This my man is what life is all about imo Enjoy that game with a "GREAT FATHER"

Damn man, thats how you do it, it sounds like you got a great Dad. I miss mine, its amazing how much they give their sons. I wish I could give everything back that mine have me. Baseball lessons, restaraunts, baseball games, basketball tickets, man I was lucky, I wish I could pay him back for the smallest things like electricity and water, now that I'm on my own, I realize everything I took for granted, appreciate your father man, it sounds like you do.
