Huge fan will be getting this on Saturday, followed by a nonstop 6 movie marathon. If I don't grow roots into the chair this weekend it will be a miracle.

Ok, I had a chance to play with these last night... short answer: they are pretty awesome! Definitely worth the ticket IMO, especially when compared to other similar headsets out there. I tested them out with MLB.tv, Netflix, HuluPlus, MLB 11 The Show, and Madagascar 2 Blu-Ray (it was the first one on the shelf) - they worked like a charm with every medium! You can definitely hear a lot of details that you may have missed before. Actually, it really made the difference more noticeable in how Karros sounds in TS, compared to the other announcers. I still have to test them out with something like SOCOM, that has proximity chat, to see how they fair. One cool feature is the chat/audio crossfader control. You can mix the two, to your desired levels (i.e. low game audio, high voice chat level or vice versa, or 50/50 or any combo really.) I didn't get to test the mic quality yet, but I will give that a go online tonight. Even with the limited playtime, they are gold so far...

Pros:

- Very well constructed (although I never doubted they would be)
- Sound is very very good for both stereo and virtual surround
- Lightweight/Comfortable
- Buttons/controls are very accessible
- Volume is nice and loud (rarely had them set higher than 50% level)
- Integrated on-screen settings display
- Retractable Mic Boom is cool
- The range is very good
- They look good (IMO)

Cons:

- RF instead of Bluetooth (if you are against dongles, or have limited USB ports)
- Low's (bass) could be a little better
- Your wife/girlfriend/kids may say things like "dork" "geek" and "nerd" while you're wearing them

^^^Thanks for the review. Sounds like I'm going to pick these up in a couple weeks. They are a bit cheaper then the logitech set but after reading your review and a couple on best buy's site they seem to be just as good if not better in some aspects.

And if you're wondering why Gamecube, it's because my backwards compatible Wii is my only way of playing them without buying a new system.

That's the only reason I still have my Wii is for the GameCube compatibility. Plus, Mario is awesome.

The original Tony Hawk for Dreamcast was the only game I've ever played that would make me lose complete track of time and end up with me sitting there playing free skate or whatever it was called for like 9 hours.

Hell yeah. I was in college when the first TH came out. I think the GPA of the entire campus took a serious hit.

Just noticed that every other TH game you posted show's it was developed by neversoft, and yet the other's aren't. Does that mean they switched off development?
