My grandfather's last name Was Williamson, so my middle name is William. Interestingly, my first name is James because my dad's middle name was James, so maybe I'll name my son William!Comment

I have the best middle name ever: Keating
It was passed to me from my grandfather. I was fortunate enough to follow in his footsteps and pitch at the same University. At the same time I was never able to meet him as he passed away when my Mom was 9 years old. Man that would've been awesome to have a grandfather come watch me pitch at the same school he did.
It was also unfortunate I couldn't find out what jersey # he wore...I tried so hard to find out!
If I have a son his middle name is already determined: Keating

It's because i'm a St. Pierre and all the males middle name is Joseph and the females is Marie.
We're that kind of family.

I wish I understood my middle name. I get conflicting meanings from my parents. My middle name is my user name: Kazushige. I inherited part of it from my dad and his dad:
grandfather: SHIGEnuki
father: SHIGEyoshi
me: KazuSHIGE
If you look up the meaning online it's the same stuff I keep getting about possible spellings and possible definitions. The problem is that my parents chose it by pronunciation written phonetically in english and not with actual Japanese characters.Comment
