Do you wash your hands after using the Restroom?

Re: Wash your hands ! Public bathrooms rant
I don't care about how good germs are for my immune system, or whether or not after pissing or pooping, washing my hands is really necessary.
After I get done going to the bathroom, I wash my hands. And I would hope, and I like to think, that everyone else does the same.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Too many times I've been in the bathroom and watched people take a leak and walk right out. Even worse, I've seen a few come out of the stalls and walk out without washing their hands. I've made a mental note to never shake their hands.Comment

I'm the same way... I wash my hands every time I'm in the bathroom and before eating.

I really don't think it's about being a germaphobe, or just letting your immunity system take care of itself.
It's the simple fact that if you use the washroom, wash your hands.
When you're eating, would you want somebody to take a crap while you're eating? I highly doubt it.
Which is why I understand why the OP got pissed when people that just used the bathroom, and not washed their hands, are at the buffett line eating food.Comment

Re: Wash your hands ! Public bathrooms rant
agreed. If I saw someone not wash their hands after using the restroom, and then go up to a buffet and start picking over the food, I'd get up and leave. Thats disgusting.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

lol I dont touch anything in that bathroom except for the door, But seriously, get off your high horse. When i was in the Army and I had to crap in the woods, I had MRE Toilet paper, maybe two If I was lucky. Then I had a Moistnapkin to wash My hands. In Case you were wondering, MRE toilet Paper rips more often that not.

And I don't wash my hands after using the bathroom simply because I'm afraid of giving myself germs...I wash my hands after using the bathroom out of respect to other people I may interact with that day. Thats just me though.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

When I go camping, it's not like I'm Mr. Germaphobe... but I am when it's a public place that generates a lot of people.
This argument can go the same way for the people that used money as an example.
Also, I would think that in the Army, you had more important things to think about then shaking hands with your ally and worrying if he has a snickers bar melted on his finger.Comment

Re: Wash your hands ! Public bathrooms rant
I always wash my hands while using a public bathroom. The soap and water is 5 feet away from you and washing your hands takes 20 seconds. It is just laziness when people don't wash their hands. And washing your hands is the single most important thing to not get sick.
When I'm at home, I don't always wash my hands when I take a piss, I always do when I do a number 2 though. When I take my morning piss I always wash my hands because I will be interacting with people throughout the day.
Anyways I think people are looking too much into this, washing hands in a public place is easy to do, people just don't do it because of laziness not because of they are afraid of hurting their immune systems.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Wash your hands ! Public bathrooms rant
I don't have much to contribute to this thread besides this:
I feel dirtier touching the sink handle in a public restroom than I do touching my junk. But I deal with it and wash my hands anyway, unless the sink is just in total disrepair, i.e. water all over the counter top, used paper towels everywhere, leftover soap from the dispenser splattered all over the place, etc. Think "Bar on a Friday night" conditions.Comment
